ENA has officially confirmed the broadcast of its upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama iShopping, set to premiere on July 21.
Featuring a powerhouse cast including Yum Jung Ah, Won Jin Ah, Choi Young Joon, and rising actor Kim Jin Young (Dex), the series dives into a high-stakes world of survival, betrayal, and revenge.
Based on the hit Kakao webtoon that racked up over 51 million views and clinched the Best Creativity Award at the 2017 SPP Webtoon Awards, iShopping is an intense action-thriller. The story centers on children who were adopted, only to be abandoned again—”refunded”—and their harrowing journey for justice as they claw their way back from the edge of death.
Yum Jung Ah takes on a dark and complex role as Kim Se-hee, the respected face of a major hospital and charitable foundation—but beneath the surface, she’s the mastermind of an illegal adoption ring. Driven by a twisted ideology that only “superior genes” deserve to survive, she runs a brutal black market for human organs in a chilling “eye shopping” operation. This is a daring departure from Yeom’s previous roles, promising a performance both chilling and unforgettable.
Won Jin Ah transforms into Kim Ah-hyun, a “refunded” adoptee who survives against all odds. As the leader and emotional anchor of the abandoned children, she fights for their future while uncovering shocking truths. Taking on her first-ever action role, Won is set to bring raw intensity and bold new energy to the screen.
Choi Young Joon plays Woo Tae-shik, an insider within the dark network who, wracked with guilt, risks everything to save the rejected children. Teaching them how to endure and defend themselves, he becomes a quiet hero in the shadows, and Choi’s seasoned acting is sure to add emotional depth to the suspense.
Rising star Kim Jin Young (Dex) steps into his most intense role yet as Jung Hyun, a loyal weapon forged by Kim Se-hee herself. As the cold executor of her plans, Jung Hyun follows her orders without question—but will his loyalty ever crack? Known for his chemistry with Yeom Jung-ah on Sister’s Farm Direct Delivery, viewers are eager to see how their dynamic evolves in this much darker setting.
After the first script reading, Yum Jung Ah remarked, “Everyone came well-prepared. I just thought, ‘I have to deliver my best.’ The mix of thrilling action and mystery makes this a unique project—I hope people show it lots of love.”
Won Jin Ah added, “This drama has a powerful message. We’re all working hard, and I hope viewers will really feel that through the story.”
iShopping is a co-production between Group Eight—the team behind Taxi Driver, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, and Boys Over Flowers—and Take One Studio, known for Luca: The Beginning and Your Honor. With its gripping storyline, complex characters, and top-tier production, iShopping is shaping up to be one of the year’s must-watch dramas.
