The main cast of 슈룹 Umbrella (LT) is officially sealed. Headlined by Kim Hye Soo, Kim Hae Sook and Choi Won Young, the series targets October airing.
Tackling the royal education of the royal family of Joseon, the motivated goal of royal family mothers will be conveyed in this sympathetic and touching story.
Notching the focal character in a taxing court battle, Kim Hye Soo plays the role of Hwa-ryeong. She is the Queen of Joseon, who has a great king as her husband and a bunch of rebellious princes as her children.
She has long lost her dignity as she takes care of the princes who cause concern each day. Thus, she has a reputation for being the quickest person in the palace.
Esteemed veteran actress Kim Hae Soo, portrays the Queen Mother. As Hwa-ryeong’s mother-in-law, she is famous for making her illegitimate son reign as a King. While she loves his son so much, she does not give half of it to her grandchildren. This time, Kim Hae Sook controls the tension by portraying an antagonist role.
Choi Won Young plays the role of King Yi Ho, Hwaryeong’s husband. Yi Ho is a popular monarch of the era that opened the country’s peaceful dynasty. As the son of a concubine, he has a complex about legitimacy as a king, but he is truly hard working.
Playing the roles of mischief-making princes are Moon Sang Min, Kang Chan Hee, Yoo Seon Ho, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Kim Min Ki.
Kim Ui Seong joins the cast as a seasoned powerful man who threatens the kingship. Moreover, Ok Ja Yeon and Kim Ga Eun, play Royal Consorts and compete fiercely with Hwaryeong in administering royal education.
