tvN’s upcoming Korean drama Melancholia has affirmed its lead cast!
Lee Do Hyun caught the hearts of many viewers because of his impressive acting skills and charisma. This time, he is up for another drama that would challenge his acting creativity. Pairing up with Im Soo Jung, the new drama would offer a new taste of plot that viewers would love.
Directed by Kim Sang Hyeop and written by Kim Ji Woon, Melancholia tells the stories of Math teachers and Math geniuses at a prestigious private high school. It would also narrate the corruption that exists in the academe.

In the drama, Lee Do Hyun portrays Baek Seung-yoo, a math genius who won various math Olympiads as a child, entered MIT at the age of 10, and dropped out at the age of 12.
He is also dubbed as the “Disappeared Math Genius Boy.”
Viewers are excited about how the actor would characterize Seung-yoo, starting from the time he went missing to the moment he returned.
Meanwhile, Im Soo Jung also confirmed her appearance in the drama as a math teacher.
She suits up as Ji Yoon-soo who teaches passionately and finds joy in her profession. Shealso advocates that her students would write down their own answers, and prove them.
