New and returning characters are set to greet the viewers when Missing: The Other Side 2 launches on December 19.
To prepare the fans of the series, a character relationship diagram showing the relationship beyond life and death was unveiled by tvN Drama.
Missing: The Other Side 2 threads on the imaginative and heartwarming story set in a spirit village were ghosts who died of disheartening deaths and whose bodies weren’t recovered yet settle.
In 2020, the first season aired and received favorable reviews for its impressive storytelling that blends fantasy, mystery and ruminative moments. Incorporating stellar portrayals, the interesting subject of life and death was profoundly conveyed in the series.

Previously, Go Soo shared thoughts about the strong bromance chemistry with Heo Joon Ho as a ‘soul-seeing duo’ in the story. He also gives details about the changes in his character in Missing: The Other Side 2.
“I am grateful to senior Heo Jun-ho for accepting me so that I can act comfortably and react accordingly. You can expect a more upgraded combination performance with senior Heo Joon-ho. I tried to act without being tied to or biased by emotions, situations, or people because I met many people and encountered incidents while going back and forth between the real world and the village where the spirits live.”
Likewise, Heo Joon Ho also expressed thoughts about his return in the new season.
“I am happy to be back for season 2. Missing: The Other Side is one of the most precious works for me, so it’s like a miracle to continue a new season. I wanted to do season 2 because I felt that it was regrettable that the material covered in the story was finished in season 1. I think everything is the result of the interest and love of viewers and the passion of everyone who participated in the series.”
Meet The Characters of Missing: The Other Side 2
Reprising their roles, Go Soo and Heo Joon Ho are set to appear as unnecessarily righteous Kim Wook and Jang Pan-suk, a father who still misses his daughter.
Kim Wook is connected to Moon Bora (Choi Myung Bin), the daughter of a missing person. It raises questions about what kind of relationship the two will have and whether it is related to the reason why Kim Wook saw the soul.
Aiding the ghost-seeing duo is Lee Jong-ah, played by Ahn So Hee. Completing the three musketeers’ image, she willingly helps Wook and Pan-suk.
Along with this, the faces of the residents of Industrial Complex 3, the soul village, draw attention. Kang Eun-sil (Lee Jung Eun), is a 30-year-old resident of the village who feeds and takes care of the villagers.
In season 2, a drug organization gives tension to the story. The mysterious identity of Oh Il-yong (Kim Dong Hwi), a gang member who entered Industrial Complex 3, heightens curiosity about his cryptic identity.
Rounding up the characters are Jeong Young-jin (Jung Eun Pyo), Yang Eun-hee (Kwon Ah Reum) and the children cast decorate another engrossing tale in the newly featured ghost village.
In addition, Ha Joon as Shin Jun-ho also comes back as the reliable detective helping Wook and Pan-suk. He will be working with another cop Baek Il-du (Ji Dae Han).
A point to watch is how Jun-ho navigates a drug cartel investigation at the industrial village inhabited by spirits through cooperation with the soul-seeing duo.
