“Summer Strike” Aims For Addicting and Endearing K-Drama Experience In November

Summer Strike

Genie TV’s original drama, Summer Strike is confirmed for November airing as reported by KT Studio Genie.

International OTT Viu previously revealed the series as an upcoming treat for its subscribers with tentative airing on November 11.

October 2022 Viu Schedule: K-Dramas, K-Shows, Thai Dramas, HK Dramas, Original Series & More

Starring Im Si Wan and Seolhyun, the series will be helmed by the Coffee Prince and Golden Time director.

Billed as a healing drama, it is based on a webtoon depicting a village that goes through life without doing anything. A perfect space for people who wants to leave a complicated city life.

Additionally, Summer Strike plans to present beautiful sceneries captured through filming in Gurye, Gokseong, and Namhae.

In the drama, Seolhyun portrays Lee Yeo-reum, who declared a life strike. She goes to an unfamiliar place to rediscover herself again. Meanwhile, Im Si Wan takes the role of Ahn Dae-beom, a librarian whose life is uncertain.

For their first collaboration, Im Si Wan and Seolhyun aim to present a remarkable story of taking a pause in life’s expected taxing moments.

Fresh from his well-received villain stint in Emergency Declaration, Im Si Wan takes a 180-degree transformation. Likewise, Seolhyun returns to K-Drama world after her last work in The Killer’s Shopping List.

Notable young actors such as Shin Eun Soo and Bang Jae Min round up the lead cast.

Summer Strike is scheduled to be released on Genie TV, seezn, and ENA channels in November. International fans can watch it on Viu!
