“The Bequeathed” Confirms Premiere On Netflix

Along with a teaser poster and trailer, the new series from esteemed director Yeon Sang-ho, declares a launch date.

Slated for January 19 premiere, The Bequeathed narrates the story of a series of ominous events that transpire when a woman inherits a mountain left behind by his uncle whom he had forgotten even existed. Thereafter, secrets related to it are revealed.

The Bequeathed was planned and written by genre master director Yeon Sang-ho, who fascinated the world with ‘Yeon Sang-ho Universe’, including Train to Busan, which started the K-zombie syndrome, the Netflix series Hellbound and the Netflix movie Jung_E.

In addition, director Min Hong-nam, who has worked with Director Yeon for a long time as an assistant director for Train to Busan, Psychokinesis, and Peninsula, makes his first work as director.

The two directors complete a work with “a story about the ‘family’ that is the basis of humanity and also the motivation we keep close to us. It is an unpredictable mystery thriller that amplifies the expectations of global viewers.

The released teaser poster captures the scene of a mysterious incident that occurred in a rural village. It looks like someone was murdered at Seonsan Mountain.

Accordingly, the teaser trailer released together features breathtaking performances by Kim Hyun Joo, Park Hee Soon, Park Byung Eun, and Ryu Kyung Soo, as well as the ominous events that follow an unexpected inheritance.

Yoon Seo-ha (Kim Hyun Joo), who receives the news of the death of her uncle, whom she never visited, inherits a land since she is his only blood relative.

However, her half-brother Kim Yeong-ho (Ryu Kyung Soo), appears and threatens her, saying that he too deserves the bequeathed, and a series of mysterious murders occur in her village.

Police officers Choi Seong-jun (Park Hee Soon) and Park Sang-min (Park Byung Eun), who sense that something is not quite right, begin to investigate the case. A single gunshot cuts through the darkness, unusual amulets, and blood stains appear, and they wonder what story might be hidden in the inherited mountain.

The Bequeathed which provides a swirling sense of tension through the teaser poster and trailer, will be released only on Netflix on January 19th.
