The Season of Kkokdu starring Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang sealed its premiere on January 27, 2023!
MBC’s upcoming fantasy-romance drama 꼭두의 계절 The Season of Kkokdu (LT) chronicles the story of Kkokdu (Kim Jung Hyun), the “god of death” who comes down to the earth every 99 years to punish humans. He meets Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang) a visiting doctor with mysterious abilities.
Just recently, the drama confirmed its broadcast in 2023 and the talented supporting characters round up the series.
This includes Kim Da Som (Was It Love?), An Woo Yeon (Check Out The Event), Kim In Kwon (Mr. Queen), and Cha Chung Hwa (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha).
Kim Da Som will portray the role of Tae Jung Won, a perfect woman who is good in everything. Meanwhile, An Woo Yeon will play Han Chul, the brother of Han Gye Jeol. As a detective, he can’t stand injustice.
Playing the role of the oblivious god Ok Shin who takes care of Kkokdu is veteran actor Kim In Kwon. Additionally, Cha Chung Hwa plays the opposite character, the perceptive god Gak Shin.
The drama will be helmed by screenwriters Kang Yi Heon and Heo Jun Woo (Less Than Evil), director Baek Soo Chan (Alice, Beautiful Gong Shim, A Girl Who Sees Smells) along with director Kim Ji Hoon (Check Out the Event).
With its powerful creative team, the production crew also invites viewers to anticipate the actor’s epic chemistry.
