The Thief The Sound of the Sword kdramadiary

Netflix orchestrates a new period drama in collaboration with writer Han Jeong Hoon and director Hwang Jun Hyeok.

Previously, the showrunners worked on dramas Bad Guys City of Evil and Squad 38. Backing up the production are Urban Works (Black Dog, Radio Romance) and Baram Pictures of Kingdom: Ashin of the North and Jirisan.

The Thief: The Sound of the Sword (LT) is an action drama in which those who fled to Gando, a lawless country with disparate stories during Japan’s chaotic occupation, band together to defend the Korean homeland.

Set in the 1920s in Gando, the Japanese military, independence forces, contractors, magicians, and Koreans who have been stolen of their homes and relocated to the area all point their weapons at one another for various reasons.

Simultaneously, the exciting and irresistible action unfolded by the thieves, motivated by profit, to protect the Koreans and their homeland announces a show that one cannot take their eyes off for even a moment.

Following that, Netflix revealed the casting for its forthcoming historical drama.
