“The Worst Of Evil” Orients Viewers With The Character of Ji Chang Wook

The Worst of Evil

To portray two personas, Ji Chang Wook foresees an explosive and passionate performance in The Worst of Evil.

He is set to perform two different characters: Park Jun-mo a police officer and Kwon Seung-ho, a Gangnam Union member.

When a potent new recreational drug begins spreading throughout Seoul’s liveliest venues, an undercover officer will infiltrate the gang responsible in The Worst of Evil – a thrilling new crime drama coming September 27, exclusively on Disney+.

In 1990s Seoul, a former DJ seized control of a gang and began pushing a popular new drug nicknamed “Gangnam Crystal” in the city’s nightclubs. With little known about its source, a rural officer is recruited into an undercover police unit and is tasked with infiltrating the gang to bring it down from the inside.

Forced to keep his new assignment a secret from everyone, Officer Park Jun-mo is stunned to discover his wife and fellow officer Yu Eui-jeong has volunteered for the same assignment and that she has a mysterious past with the city’s new drug lord. Torn between his dedication to his job and his need to keep his wife safe, Jun-mo’s actions will keep viewers on the edge of their seats throughout.

As Jun-mo, Ji Chang Wook embodies a detective with excellent judgment skills and tenacity. He dives into a dangerous investigation to succeed. In this process, he plans to capture the hearts of viewers by showing not only his insight into the entire flow of events but also his courage.

“I will try it my way.” This is the mantra Jun-mo follows as he approaches Gangnam Union boss Jung Gi-cheul (Wi Ha Jun), who is at the center of the drug trade.

He assumes an undercover identity as Kwon Seung-ho and boldly jumps into a risky case to gain the trust aa a member of Gangnam Union.

The Worst of Evil

Interestingly, Ji Chang Wook plays the character Kwon Seung-ho, who seems to have the characteristics of Park Jun-mo, but with a completely different personality, further amplifying the level of immersion in the story.

As the narrative progresses, the process of gradually becoming hooked in the Gangnam Union and becoming different from Junmo is expressed through stylish action moves and deep psychological changes, raising expectations for an intense story that can only be seen in The Worst Evil.
