SBS’ upcoming mystery romance drama Why Her, has affirmed the lead cast to be Seo Hyun Jin, Hwang In Youp, and Heo Jun Ho!
Set in the legal world, 왜 오수재인가 Why Her (WT) follows the painful yet exciting story of a coldhearted lawyer Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), who leads an empty life while only pursuing success. She will meet law school student Gong Chan (Hwang In Youp), who is not afraid to do anything to protect her.
With one wrong decision, the course of their lives changes. This is also the story of two people who are trying to escape the abyss they fall into.
Helming the series is Park Soo Jin who directed Hymn of Death and co-directed numerous hit dramas such as Penthouse, Dr. Romantic, and While You Were Sleeping. He will be joining forces once again with writer Kim Ji Eun, whom he worked before in Hymn of Death.
Promising Lead cast
Seo Hyun Jin (You Are My Spring) takes on the role of Oh Soo Jae, a star lawyer who becomes tenacious and strong-willed after overcoming regrets. She is the youngest partner at the leading TK Law Firm and was recognized as one of the ace lawyers.
Equipped with a fighting spirit that made her opponents bow down, and self-righteousness that has nothing to fear in the world, she desperately chases for perfect success.
The direction of her life has been precariously changed by the wrong choice she believed to be an opportunity for success. But rather than having regrets, she even rose into a higher position with malice.
Establishing himself as one of the sought-after actors today, True Beauty actor Hwang In Youp portrays the role of Gong Chan, a law school student who reached out to Oh Soo Jae after her demise. He is a warmhearted young man who shows unique empathy to others despite his painful past.
He encounters Oh Soo Jae, who has been demoted as an adjunct professor at the law school after being caught up in an unexpected incident. He makes her realize what love is.
Veteran actor Heo Jun Ho (Missing: The Other Side) suits up to the role of TK Law Firm Chairman Choi Tae Guk, who is faithful to his desires. He is a person who freely crosses the boundaries of good and evil in order to realize his desires. He is keeping an eye on Oh Soo Jae, who is loyal to him despite hiding her true intentions.
Following his latest stint in the MBC drama Check Out The Event, idol slash actor Lee Jin Hyuk decks on his new role as Nam Chun Poong. He is a bright young man whose dream is to become president in the future.
He quits his career as an idol trainee and sets up a PC room with his friends to study, and passed law school at Seojung University.
Why Her will premiere in the first half of 2022.
