Adamas Episode 3 Highlights
After Woo-shin talks with Hye-soo, unveiling that the Adamas is the weapon that killed the twins’ father, Woo-shin enters his room and gets a glass of water.
Suddenly, Mr. Choi appears and gives him a threatening ultimatum. He orders Woo-shin to leave the house immediately or else he will face deadly consequences. But calm Woo-shin did not move a single inch. He knew the undercover cop wanted him out of the equation. Woo-shin even provoked Mr. Choi while he sips onto his glass.
As Mr. Choi could not take it anymore, he aggressively approached Woo-shin. But as soon as he stepped forward, Woo-shin collapsed.
It was because of the drink. It reminded Mr. Choi of the incident when one of the maids in the mansion was allegedly poisoned by Ms. Kwon.
“Your true colors are revealed on what decisions you make during certain situations.”
Mr. Choi had no choice but to help the writer in pain. Ha Woo-shin points to the medicine bottles across the room. Mr. Choi then gets vitamin K, an antidote to save someone who drank rat poison. And as he gets back to check on Woo-shin, he disappears. Woo-shin, who lies down on the floor, now sits on the couch as if nothing happened.
It was all an act. Woo-shin only tested Mr. Choi for him to show his true colors. He then knew Mr. Choi could not kill him because he ran to get the antidote to save him.
Mr. Choi then argued that there was no need to kill him as he was not his target but his twin, prosecutor Song Su-hyun. At that same time, Special Investigations Headquarters are tailing the prosecutor.
“They didn’t commit suicide. They would never.
I’m sure of it.”
Back in the twin prosecutor’s situation, he was shocked to see on the news that Mr. Kim and his wife had died.
After seeing the unfortunate news, he sensed someone inside his house. It was reporter Seo-hee crying. Su-hyun asked her what happened, and the reporter kept on blaming herself.
It turns out that Kim Seo-hee is the daughter of the witness. She only approached Su-hyun to help him and to clear his father’s name.
Prosecutor Song Su-hyun then insisted on helping and working together to find the truth behind the sudden passing of Seo-hee’s parents. He later went to the crime scene and believed that the death of the reporter’s parents was not because of suicide.
“You know the real killer. Who is it?”
Trying to create an alliance, Ha Woo-shin delivers a piece of paper to Eun Hye-soo. Written on it indicates that he still has the letter Hye-soo sent him that rainy night. Woo-shin tries to make Hye-soo on his side by blackmailing her, but Hye-soo rips the paper in front of him, symbolizing she declines.
Time is running out. Woo-shin will soon leave the mansion, while Hye-soo and Chairman Kwon plan to go for a vacation. So, he has to steal the weapon as fast as possible.
He tries again to force Hye-soo to share what else she knows. In the end, she told Woo-shin that he heard his husband, Hyun-jo, saying Mr. Kwon killed someone using the Adamas.
“Knowing too much is a sin.”
Fortunately, Woo-shin thought of a plan to stay longer in the mansion. As Dong-rim saw Chairman Kwon and his secretary’s confidential conversation, he takes this opportunity and reports themselves to Mr. Kwon.
He tells the chairman that Dong-rim learned about Haesong’s plan to support Hwang Byung-chu’s candidacy and its connection to ARES, the biggest arms dealer.
Mr. Kwon got caught in the act. With the sudden confession, he decides to make the two stay in the mansion until the elections were over for him to continue his plan to sell firearms.
Mr. Choi then called Woo-shin to inform him that Chairman Kwon was his real target. They both also think that Mr. Kwon killed the twin’s father. With countless exchanges of threats, they somehow are on the same page.
The undercover cop also reveals he was trying to win Haesong’s trust for two years to be part of Team A, the group of Haesong’s troubleshooters. They should first chase this team before capturing Mr. Kwon.
On the other hand, Su-hyun goes to Mr. and Mrs. Kim’s funeral and meets reporter Seo-hee. Another truth unfolds as Seo-hee says she also saw the one who killed Su-hyun’s father.
Seo-hee then gives Su-hyun a sketch of that man. The latter then meets inmate Lee Chang-woo and shows him the drawing.
However, Chang-woo insists he did not recognize the man. Su-hyun got mad because he firmly believed the man in the sketch was Chang-woo’s alleged accomplice, Mr. Lee of ARES.
Adamas Episode 3 Musings
The third episode enabled us to see how Ha Woo-shin and Song Su-hyun want to find justice for their father.
Woo-shin tries to persuade Hye-soo and Mr. Choi to help him steal the Adamas, while Song Su-hyun also tries to get information from Lee Chang-woo about his accomplice.
I am so amused that until this episode, there are mysteries in the story that continues to unfold. We now know that Presidential candidate Hwang Byung-chul works with ARES, the company that communicates with Haesong, which made them so dangerous and powerful. That is why it is hard for Mr. Choi to capture chairman Kwon.
We may now expect more intense scenes to appear in the next episode. I hope Woo-shin and Su-hyun gather more information in the search for their father’s killer.
Let us all find out as we watch episode 4 of Adamas!
