Military Prosecutor Doberman Episode 11 & 12 Highlights (Trigger Warning!)

These two episodes of Military Prosecutor Doberman starts showing a flashback of No Hwa Young and Lee Jae Sik’s conversation. It was seemingly at the time Bae Man’s parents were killed. Then the next scene goes back to the present time, where No Hwa Young finally confronts Bae Man about his identity.

Moreover, at first, a tension-filled confrontation was shown. However, it was only in Bae Man’s imagination. He was apparently holding himself back from doing what he just thought in his mind.

Instead, he acted innocently and thanked No Hwa Young for saving him. Bae Man wanted to avoid the conflict because now was still not the time. In particular, he is careful because Woo In and he are walking on eggshells hunting the Patriotic Society members.

Yong Moon Go’s Schemes

Cha Woo In pays Yong Moon Go a visit. He arrives at IM Defense’s office seeing Woo In sitting on the CEO’s chair. As they bicker and go about what transpired in the past, Yong Moon Go threatens her that he will reveal her alter ego to the public.

Cha Woo In is both a military Captain and prosecutor. Thus, she might be heavily implicated if her vigilante actions were revealed.

Consequently, Woo In holds a trump card of her own to keep Yong Moon Go in check. She told him that she knew what Yong Moon Go was scheming. He is aiming to acquire IM Defense for himself.

Hence, he is working as No Hwa Young’s lapdog so that in the end, he can trample over her and achieve his goals. True enough, Yong Moon Go shows his real colors in front of Minister Lee Jae Sik. He ambitiously met up with the minister to pledge fealty and negotiate a project.

No Tae Nam’s Change of Heart

Bae Man and Woo In work round the clock to prepare for the Commanding General’s trial. They are aware that as they tread this difficult trial, the chances of winning can slip from their grasp if they are not careful.

Meanwhile, No Tae Nam barely survives his military life on the frontlines. Thanks to his direct superior, Private Pyun Sang-Ho, he has someone to talk to. However, things in their base are not going so well.

The bullying and sexual exploitation are still ongoing. As the soldiers tease No Tae Nam with the airport dissertation video where he was electrocuted, Pyun Sang-Ho takes the fall for him. The soldiers kept on knocking and humiliating the two.

After the incident, Pyun Sang Ho and No Tae Nam talked outside their quarters. Sang Ho told him that he did well standing up against them. Otherwise, he will have to suffer the same fate, bowing down to all the abuse and humiliation.

During this scene, viewers see No Tae Nam having sympathies and conscience. He shows concern towards Pyun Sang Ho. More importantly, flashbacks exhibited all the kinds of abuse Pyun Sang-Ho had to put up with.

He was never treated like a decent human being in the camp. Hearing all these, Tae Nam seemed heartbroken. However, his military horrors are far from over.

While talking to Pyun Sang Ho, he learned that Sergeant Ahn is the Gusan Bank President’s son. The very person he asked Yong Moon Go and Bae Man to put into jail when he was still IM Defense’s Chairman.

Military Inspectors on the Move

On the other hand, Section Chief Yoon and Section Chief Ahn were sent on a special mission. Woo In and Bae Man tasked them to go undercover as media personnel to catch the military law enforcer Kim Han Yong and his crew red-handed.

Not only does their whole legal office play golf during office hours, but they also snub cases and favor the rich and powerful authorities. On that note, to make sure that Commanding General Hong Moo Sup’s case lands in Bae Man and Woo In’s department, they execute the busting of the corrupt military Judge Advocates.

After doing a great job exposing the legal office, the two Section Chiefs beam with pride. Likewise, they talked about noticing something more than just work-related brews between Woo In and Bae Man. It was then revealed how the two hold special interests and feelings towards Captain Cha and Bae Man.

Ending The Vicious Cycle

Subsequently, Bae Man approaches the abused Staff Sergeant Shin once again. He showed him the news about the recent expose of the corrupt military legal office. Moreover, the reasons are out that Staff Sergeants Shin’s case would be disregarded in that office, so he plans on handling the prosecution.

To this Staff Sergeant Shin tells him to get lost. Nonetheless, Bae Man follows him on his way back to the Commanding General’s house. Besides humbling himself and confessing his past misdeeds, Bae Man promises he will make sure no one ever gets bullied again. But Staff Sergeant Shin said this declaration would not bring back his dead friend, who was a victim of injustice.

Additionally, it was shown how Staff Sergeant Shin endured brutal beatings every Sunday at midnight of every month. The Commanding General summons him to a vacant room, and there he whips and lashes out his anger.

Ironically after the torture session, Hong Moo Sup shows his twisted idea of compassion by offering money and sending his regards to the poor soldier’s family.

Since Staff Sergeant Shin can no longer endure this inhumane treatment, he finally packs his belongings and storms out of the residence. He clashed with the Commanding General’s sister on his way out, and news spread not long after.

As a result, Minister Lee Jae-Sik rages in a fury at the Commanding General’s residence, questioning him if there is anything else he is hiding from them. Ultimately as Bae Man had predicted, the Patriotic Society has no choice but to task Woo In and Bae Man with handling the case.

Love is in the Ai–Military Base

Bae Man brings his aunt Detective Do Soo Kyung from the police task force to their office. Once again, Staff Judge Advocate Seo Joo Hyuk meets Bae Man’s feisty aunt after the commotion at the press conference for the fake mine hero case.

Declaring that his aunt will work with them because only civilian law can enforce justice on civilians, Seo Joo Hyuk fears for his life because another scary female is in the military camp. First General No Hwa Young, then Cha Woo In and now, Bae Man’s Detective aunt.

Besides that, giving his quarters temporarily to Staff Sergeant Shin, Bae Man heads to their secret headquarters, Mungo cafe, to sleep there. He arrived after seeing Woo In working overtime there.

Consequently, they decided to have dinner together. They ate instant ramyeon paired with expensive wine. Hence, Bae Man jested how Woo In sometimes cannot hide the fact that she is rich. As well as he claimed how nice it is to drink the wine with a clear conscience, unlike those times he drank wine with Yong Moon Go.

Moreover, Bae Man could not stop staring at Woo In and even thought to himself how heartily Woo In eats during dinner. Woo In caught his glimpses, and the awkward Bae Man suddenly talked about work and court tactics.

A Costly Betrayal

Yong Moon Go has successfully targeted Kang’s Solutions. Framing the company for leaking military information, Yong Moon Go had his men rummage CEO Kang Ha Joon’s company building.

Unfortunately, the hard drive that Cha Woo In and Bae Man asked him to access was swept away by Yong Moon Go’s personnel. And as he threatens CEO Kang, he also gave him an offer he cannot refuse, the same as what he offered Bae Man years ago.

Afraid that Kang’s Solution will meet its demise, CEO Kang decided to join forces with Yong Moon Go.

Eventually, he agreed that they should let the soldiers fight their military wars. As for them, businessmen should make the most out of the opportunities. Furthermore, Yong Moon Go is tasked to handle the case of the Commanding General. Hence, once again he is standing in the way of Woo In and Bae Man.

During the court session, it was evident that Yong Moon Go, the Judge and the Commanding General are seemingly in cahoots. Thus, Woo In and Bae Man were pitted against petty objections and biases in the courtroom.

Temporary Ceasefire

Knowing that this case would not be easy, Bae Man’s team started utilizing and maximizing their human resource. On the day of the trial, Yong Moon Go tries to use all the nasty tricks he could pull from his sleeves.

He even claims that Staff Sergeant Shin is merely accusing the Commanding General. In particular, he used Staff Sergeant Shin’s medical assessment report against him by claiming his perforated eardrums and other bruises were self-inflicted. He reasoned to the court that after the death of his bullied friend, the Staff Sergeant was not in his right mind.

What is more, the Judge in favor of the Commanding General is already giving the two prosecutors a hard time. But after the first trial, a vile foe summons Woo In for a cease-fire. Resuming the trial, the defendant did not allow Cha Woo In to bring in her unregistered witness. H

owever, this unexpected witness that would testify against the Commanding General was No Hwa Young’s aide. Hence, General No Hwa Young steps inside the courtroom, and the look on Yong Moon Go is priceless.

In disbelief, Yong Moon Go was agitated and shocked. Hong Moo Sup himself was bewildered by this revelation. Likewise, Bae Man felt like his eyes were deceiving him.

Justice Coming Right Up

The investigation of Detective Do was also conducted on the day of Hong Moo Sup’s trial. Staff Judge Advocate Seo Joo Hyuk received an ear full from the detective. Since he is a person who was also blinded by military rank and who grew complacent with the current system, he was not being the military prosecutor he ought to be.

In continuing the investigation, he was in awe of Detective Do’s capabilities. After much frustration, the lawyer of Hong Moo Sup’s sister quit the case. This was because the Hong sibling was very smug during the interrogation.

However, Detective Do has acquired vital evidence. Thus, the defendant was cornered and eventually confessed.

Meanwhile, in the courtroom, the Judge was finally acting the way he should—Although it was merely out of fear of No Hwa Young. Subsequently, First Lieutenant Yang Jong Sook proceeded to testify.

She revealed that she had been assaulted by the Commanding General in a car before. As she spoke, the guilt reaction was so evident in Hong Moo Sup that no saving grace could ever let him out of the trap.

A medical record was submitted, and a recording of the said incident. Yong Moon Go, who the Commanding General did not brief about this incident, was glued to his seat and defeated. Not only was he unable to predict this sudden turn of events, but he was also at his wit’s end in defending Hong Moo Sup.

A Befitting Repentance

Right after the court session, Staff Sergeant Shin and his wife greeted the two military prosecutors. Bae Man’s heart got all warmed up after Staff Sergeant Shin acknowledged his change and growth. Staff Seargent Shin finally saluted him and thanked him as Military Prosecutor Do Bae Man liked the ring it has to it.

With this, the case is closed, and Hong Moo Sup is behind bars. But the temporary cease-fire has now lapsed, and Woo In and Bae Man have to face the rest of the Patriotic Society. Also, still unaware of CEO Kang’s betrayal, they asked for the hard drive only to be lied on.

With all the evidence finally presented against the Commanding General, the presiding Judge had no choice but to sentence him to military prison. For this reason, Hong Moo Sup was on a rampage. He wreaked havoc in the courtroom beating the military police. He even went as far as to strangle the Judge.

Bae Man enjoyed the commotion. However, Woo In cued him it was time to intervene and subdue the infuriated Hong Moo Sup. The soldiers in the courtroom all cheered for Bae Man and Woo In. Even Staff Seargeant Shin was impressed.

Military Prosecutor Doberman Episode 11 & 12 Musings

Episode 11&12 of Military Prosecutor Doberman is very compelling to watch. Satisfying even. In fact, this might be the climax of the series as it slowly ties loose ends for its nearing finale. Another important case was closed and this time they demonstrated how to oust an abusive high-ranking official.

It was so gratifying to witness how Hong Moo Sup was taken down by Captain Do Bae Man and Cha Woo In. They had come a long way to reach this point. Not just that, but it is amazing to see how the Patriotic Society is gradually falling into shambles. Moreover, the way the series lays down the latter part of its plot trajectory is excellent.

Besides the thrill and comedy, Military Prosecutor Doberman was able to sustain the relevant and significant concepts they introduced in the beginning. In addition to that, the main characters’ chemistry is not forced.

Despite the lack of romantic essence, the series can stand out and shine because of its other elements. In particular, the synergies of the cast ensemble are terrific. Aside from that; the slow, brooding romance between Woo In and Bae Man is something to look forward to if ever it does happen.
