Su Yeol’s Mom Answering Questions About His Childhood
After entering the dark web chat, Su Yeol digs into a case that happened twenty years ago. Su Yeol discovers their mother’s Alzheimer’s disease after he and Dong Yeol search for her when she was lost at night. In the morning after, Su Yeol’s mom explains her memories of when she first saw him.
Su Yeol asks her if she wasn’t scared of the possibility of raising a murderer. However, she assures Su Yeol that she believes in her son whom she raised for twenty years. She elaborates how she first saw him passed out with blood and bruises.
She continues telling how Su Yeol slept for two days straight, and fainted in front of his house after being questioned by the police. Given all those, Su Yeol’s mom is sure that the In Jae Hui she met was a boy who was running to save his life, not a murderer.
Jeong Yun Ho’s Letters to Seong Bok Jun
In a murder case from twenty years ago that has also a yellow raincoat involved, Su Yeol visits Seong Bok Jun. He is the arrested murderer of the case even though the son of the deceased, Jeong Yun Ho, was the initial suspect.
Asking him about the case from before, Su Yeol notices how Bok Jun seems like reciting a memorized script of what happened years ago. Hui Gyeom visits Bok Jun’s lawyer, and hears about the letters his client received.
K finds the letters, sees that it all came from Jeong Yun Ho, and contains the exact things Su Yeol heard from Bok Jun. K remembers a fragment of his memory with Jeong Yun Ho at the Dream Youth Shelter after being drowned in the water drum by Bok Jun.
Sim Jeong Hun and Gi So Yeon’s Alibis
Gyeong Tae investigates Sim Jeong Hun, who witnessed Baek Young Joo stabbing Sin Ju Hyeok. He notices his bruises, and brings a social worker to his residence, wherein they see Jeong Hun staring at his dead brother.
Su Yeol visits the Dream Youth Shelter, sees his counseling record, and confirms that it was the day he met Jeong Yun Ho. At the rooftop, he sees and stops Gi So Yeon who appears to be staring and is about to jump down.
Interrogating Jeong Hun, Gyeong Tae arrives to inform Su Yeol that Jeong Hun has an alibi, and walks out freely. Although no connection was found with So Yeon and Jeong Hun, Gyeong Tae and Su Yeol discover evidence at the manhole So Yeon was staring at.
Hearing the familiar line about ending one’s misery from Jeong Hun, Su Yeol realizes that So Yeon and Jeong Hun agreed to murder their abusers for each other. So Yeon is rushed to the operating room, and Su Yeol deduces that Jeong Hun will be murdering So Yeon’s ex-boyfriend in place of her.
K Frightened of the Possibility of Being a Murderer
Su Yeol and K visit the doctor they have been meeting, and express their worries about the possibility of murdering the past. The doctor acknowledges their memory, but also suggests looking at the other doors in his subconscious. Moreover, the doctor elaborates that distorted memories are possible, but emotions at the moment cannot be erased.
Entering the dark web chat again, Jeong Yun Ho confirms to Su Yeol that they share something special. Correct about his suspicion on Jeong Hun, Su Yeol recalls Yun Ho thanking him for murdering his father.
Back in the hallway in his subconscious, K appears and reminds Su Yeol that he got stabbed. Meanwhile, Su Yeol is glad that he didn’t kill his own father, and confirms it was Yun Ho. However, K freezes as he says that his first memory is murdering someone.
Bad and Crazy Episode 9 Musings
The real events of Su Yeol’s childhood are close to being uncovered. The crimes covered so far in the series are connected. Even with twenty years passing by, cases of drugs, abuse, and murder resurface.
Experienced misery has been used to control the people involved in the murder cases. The negative experiences by Young Joo, Jeong Hun, and So Yeon have been a point of attachment for people being controlled by gaslighters.
Seeing how they all have a connection with the Dream Youth Shelter, Jeong Yun Ho at present may be hiding his identity and still works close to the Shelter. It is not far from being possible that Yun Ho has met these people through counseling sessions or at the events in the Shelter.
K’s brave and bold attitude possibly stems from his frightening memory. There are still some details that are yet to be confirmed, but hopefully, Su Yeol and K face their memories together.
Although there is a great possibility that K murdered someone, there is still also the possibility that there are still missing parts of the event.
For the next episodes, Boss Yong and Andrei, the drug dealers, shall be tackled by the police force. Moreover, Su Yeol and K will be able to recall true memories of the murder years ago.
