Who can complain about the intense thrill and mystery Happiness keeps gifting viewers each week?
Defining how the world is literally cruel, the 10th episode of the series displays how greed and evil might be dangerous if possessed by one person. Even more, if a group of the same nature is united for the same merciless purpose of harming others.

Happiness Episode 10 Key Moments
“I know. I keep wanting to see her even if I see her often.”
Receiving a call from Han Tae-seok, Yi-hyun communicated discussing the plan with Sae-bom first after confirming his wife does not have the antibodies for the disease. The sharp-witted Tae-seok sensed something uncharacteristic with the detective who wants to ensure Sae-bom’s safety along with Seo-yoon’s.
Meanwhile, the newlyweds find a note from penthouse guy Se-hun asking to divide his resources. Informing he will seek help outside, the two are leery about the situation and even checked the handwriting on the note.
Suspecting he was hidden somewhere and was forced to write a note, Yi-hyun listens to his wife but is a bit confused after they found NEXT pills in his possessions.
Hitting the agitation points of the residents, the depleting water and food supply cause them to demand sharing resources. So, when they force their way to Se-hun’s unit, who they later learned to have left the building, Yi-hyun is left with no choice but to give the residents part of his stash.
Of course, the evil Ju-hyung whines about equal distribution since he thinks the provision should match the economic status. He finds allies with Oh Yeon-ok and Ko Se-kyu who both expressed the desire to retrieve the resources of the penthouse guy.
“Don’t do it in an empty room from now on. That legal consultation.”
Wallowing on uncertainty, Yi-hyun sleeps outside their unit unable to come clean to Sae-bom. Per what Tae-seok informed, he tells her that she does not have the antibodies to which she was not surprised thinking she has been unlucky all her life.
Suggesting Sae-bom accompany Seo-yoon outside, she asserts wanting them all to go out and thinks Seo-yoon is safer inside the building.
After dressing Hyun’s wound, they go to the 11th floor to check on Se-hun thinking he did not leave the apartment complex at all. However, what they found is Lawyer Kook and Sang-hee engaging in their illicit affair.
They also found the evicted cleaning ajumma lifeless, covered by a blanket. She does not smell because of the lime powder sprinkled on her.
They get the lone doctor in the building, Oh Ju-hyung, to give professional feedback as a doctor. Assessing the corpse, he shared she has been dead for two days and confirmed the lime powder prevented the stench.
Smart Ju-hyung figures out his mistress has been playing around with Lawyer Kook and gives his two-cent about his situation given he’s married.
“The cleaning lady who was staying with you has been found dead.”
Meeting the residents and cleaning service couple, Sae-bom shut them up for complaining about Andrew who took off with all their necessities. Unknown to them, he went to Na siblings and offered the groceries to Hyun-kyung.
Oh Yeon-ok is quick to put the blame on the disappeared penthouse guy using his note of a mistake he cannot undo. Ju-hyung supports her idea as he eyes on the stocks on the 15th floor. But Sae-bom and Yi-hyun insist on investigating the murder first.
At the laboratory, Han Tae-seok uses the last vial of Sae-bom’s plasma cure when his wife went on a hard-to-restrain and life-endangering episode.
Tae-seok orders Ji-soo to get Sae-bom and will play a card that the cure developed from her antibodies was used to test on his wife.
“Sae-bom and Seo-yoon help them live a safe life.”
Building 101 residents are all riled up due to their situation. At the meeting, Ju-hyung suggests for Yi-hyun and Sae-bom go to where the generator is to use the stored power so they can cook and get water.
It was what Se-hun also informed the married friends last time. They agree to go down when they are already suspicious of a hidden ploy by the apartment villains.
Yi-hyun contacts Tae-seok about sending Sae-bom and Seo-yoon out as well as the rendezvous point from where they will meet. Surprised at Yi-hyun’s request of staying inside, Tae-seok cleverly deduced he was infected, thus he eagerly wants to send his wife outside.
The next day, Sae-bom confronts Yi-hyun if by any chance he has been infected based on the little clues she has observed. But he cut his wound again to show that he’s not fastly healing.
While searching for Se-hun, the married friends split the work with Sae-bom staying in the unit while Yi-hyun going down to the generator. Just then, Ji-soo radios Sae-bom informing her of an urgent report about how Andrew used a fake identity card. At that moment, Yi-hyun discovers the dead Se-hun, also covered with lime powder.
A gunshot erupts calling the attention of Sae-bom and Yi-hyun who figured how dangerous Andrew is. Unknown to them the evil residents connive to ransack their resources as Andrew fatally wounded Detective Kim.
Rushing to their unit, they meet their wicked neighbors all prepared to get hold of their food supply. Hyun rushes to Detective Kim while Sae-bom confronts Andrew who is holding the weak-hearted Seo-yoon hostage within his reach.
Happiness Episode 10 Musings
We have to admire Happiness for still keeping us happy while piling troubles each week. The thrill level does not dissipate with all the characters in the series throwing in: “they matter in the story” claims.
While the cure is still a work-in-progress for the mad person’s disease, Building 101 people might end up killing each other out of greed. Admittedly, the antagonists in the story is really enlivening up the enthralling drive each week.
I think all Happiness followers are praying for Hyun to evolve into an infected form and just bite all those conniving residents. But the preview of the next episode hints at a more heightened emotional and thrilling predicament for the newlyweds. It’s hard not to rule out the possibility of other hiding infected persons among the residents.
Getting the elaborated picture of the evil residents’ conspiracy might be explained in the next episode. But we hope, our heroes endure the gang up. I think the good residents were also subdued by the devious villains. Whether it’s part of their survival plan, hopefully, bad karma arrives unto them quickly.
Obviously, the pressing situation is our hero being infected – and might be separated with Sae-bom in the process. Han Tae-seok is also not doing the part of his bargain by lying to the couple for his own personal interest.
This episode scares a lot in presenting the truth of how utterly abominable people can be especially if they’re inherently corrupt. I swear the colluding meanies slightly interrupted my inner peace. *chuckles
