Happiness Episode 4 Key Moments
“What if there’s an infected person here and they start attacking us?”
The residents of Le Ciel apartment are temporarily quarantined until further investigation is completed. They attend a meeting and were promised to be compensated should there be any damage.
Each tenant voices worries and thoughts, but was reassured by the worry-proof building representative not to worry. She is confident that there’s no one in the building who might have been infected and they have detectives in the building as well.
On cue, Yi-hyun provides information about the mad person’s disease symptoms. Advising residents to go out in pairs, and asking them to report immediately if they sense something suspicious. Stressing to bear with the situation for a week, he shuts up the whining tenants.
Briefing her fellow residents with how the food distribution will proceed, the building rep ajumma pitches how the admin people had left them already. She also promises to take charge if they will place their trust in her.
“It’s better for Seo-yoon to stay there. We don’t know how it will change outside.”
Sae-bom meets Tae-seok about Seo-yoon’s situation and gets an answer that her parents are being investigated since they could be possibly infected.
Interrogating the gym front desk officer about the fitness coach, Yi-hyun and Sae-bom lay the truth of how the pills the staff sold caused the spreading disease. And if he is an accomplice, he will be held responsible.
Meanwhile, the clinic director’s husband was able to coax his mistress to retract her statement promising money. That would make weaken the murder case of the evil husband.
After a long day, the newlyweds face the sleeping problem as they need to house Detective and Seo-yoon.
Confronting the pharmaceutical company chairman he assaulted previously, Tae-seok confirmed his involvement in releasing the pills supply. That is for the treatment of the disease to go faster. It is also revealed that Tae-seok’s wife was infected by the chairman and she’s carrying their child.
“People need something to look forward to in order to become happy.”
Waking up in a jovial mood, Sae-bom checks the news and border restrictions overseas were declared. It did not dampen her mood as she looks forward to the prepared food for the quarantined residents.
However, on the ground floor, there’s already a ruckus as the people from other buildings have decided to lock the public housing tenants. Refusing to listen to reasons, Sae-bom goes for an easy route by taking Detective Kim’s gun and pointing it at the unreasonable tenants.
Parting them like the red sea, Sae-bom and her team march to get the lunch boxes. After handing it out to the tenants, they go to the rooftop to munch on their yummy breakfast. Remembering the suspected virus carrier, Sae-bom and Yi-hyun go to the gym and find him missing.
They search for him and discover an infected person chasing after his prey. Outside the building, a few contaminated people run amok biting and drinking the blood of their unfortunate victims.
Happiness Episode 4 Musings
You know how we subconsciously play the guess-who-will-die-first in horror movies – Happiness officially lets us enter that state. Deducing who would betray, who would die and who would survive heightens the excitement level of this series.
We sure did not expect the disease to escalate fast. Without knowing where to start and to cut the supply channels of the pills, it sure is an impossible feat to overcome.
Enduring a pandemonium, the remaining six days for the featured tenants would wage contention eventually. Losing food supply, as reflected in the preview, they are bound to ransack a nearby grocery store. Factions will also erupt. As viewers, we have to prepare our hearts for the thrill and fright spree down to the next eight episodes.
Who is the source of the infection outside? Can Han Tae-seok pull a subduing operation in an apartment complex of massively infected people? Can the married-friends protect their lives and their fellow building tenants’ lives against the looming disaster?
