There’s no denying that Maha and Ryeok share mutual fondness in the seventh episode of Imitation!
However, their sweet and secret relationship might be hard to keep especially in the showbiz world they live in.

Imitation Episode 7 Key Moments
“I slept like a log. Making up for lost sleep made me a new man.”
NOG Entertainment and SHAX face an urgent situation following Kwon Ryeok’s accident. Even Tea Party joined the “worry party”. If not for her sitcom schedule the next day, Maha would’ve insisted to stay outside the hospital.
While Dae-gwon goes for a weep fest moment, Ryeok finally wakes up recharged from a deep slumber. Hearing his manager’s promise of letting him do all he wants, he made sure to take advantage of Dae-gwon’s blurted vow.
That led to “Operation Sneak Maha” with SHAX members Hyuk and Do-jin cooperating for their hyung. Thinking of ways how to look more pitiable to Maha, Ryeok’s simulation ends right away as his worried hoobae entered the room.
Crying her heart out, she finally confessed that she also liked him. After hearing the magical words, he pulls her in to seal their relationship with a kiss. Outside, Hyuk and Do-jin hold a mini press conference for diversion.
“Do you like Maha?”
Ryeok rushes Dae-gwon for his hospital discharge because he can’t wait to spend time with Maha and finish filming his movie schedule. Meanwhile, Hyuk and Do-jin who are in the same sitcom as Maha assured to help her and their hyung in their relationship.
Finally released from the hospital, Ryeok heads to the filming site right away. He bumps with Yu-jin and draws a line that he should not cross anymore with his girlfriend.
Yu-jin responds that he used to like Maha since they are long-time friends. Getting the response he wants to hear, Ryeok’s mood turn sour when Yu-jin taunted him to be not complacent.
“I’m just a friend to her. But that wasn’t the case for me. That’s why I’m trying to forget her. However, I’m planning to stay friends with her for a long time. So you should not let your guard down.”
Arriving Ha-seok’s studio since Ri-a would be there for her music lesson, Yi-hyun tries to bargain with her again to work with him alone if working with SHAX bothers her. But she still gives him a nonchalant response.
“We had nowhere else to go so I drove for two hours.”
After his schedule, Ryeok excitedly meets Maha for their first date and discovers how hard it is for them to find a place for them to experience a peaceful date.
Back at the dorm, Hyuk and Yu-jin know the meaning of Ryeok’s sour face who confessed that their first date went to waste. Huddling about Ryeok’s sad first date, the two offer help but before they can provide the details, dejected-looking Yi-hyun arrives.
Sharing his problem like how Ryeok labeled his previous love problem with parties “A and B”, he insists for Yi-hyun to take “C and D” and assures him that everything would go well.
Boy-in-love Ryeok thought of a way to have quality time with Maha by meeting her at dawn before his scheduled pictorial. At the photoshoot, La Rima learns of Ryeok’s relationship status, and it’s definitely not a happy reality for her.
Settling well to Ryeok’s presence in her life, Maha finds herself missing him after a long day. Just then, the man she’s missing appears and brings her to a place where celebrities often go for secret dates.
Sipping their coffee while sitting at an elevated space, Maha and Ryeok had a great time with their “official” first date. Unknown to them, a paparazzi caught up with their secret date.
Imitation Episode 7 Musings
Omo! We see a Maha-in-distress scene in the preview of next week’s episode. Will Prince Charming Ryeok save the day for his princess? We know nothing good comes out of the greedy CEO of NOG Entertainment who treats his artists as a money-making tool. His confrontation with Ji-hak is sure worrying.
With Ryeok and Maha’s dating scandal bund to happen, the weight of the aftermath would mostly impact Maha. I can hardly wait for how Ryeok takes on the responsibility of protecting his ladylove.
I honestly thought this conflict would appear a little more later. But I guess Imitation will draw Eun-jo’s tale down the stretch. Hopefully, the next episode will not drag the dating scandal because we deserve more fan service. *wink
Looming internal conflicts among SHAX and Tea Party members are expected since Maha and Ryeok’s relationship is not fully out to the groups. But let’s hope that teamwork and genuine care for each other would make the two groups choose to support the new couple.
