“You should pay me for my appearance.”

Ju-young’s incessant shower of care seems to be yielding a result as Ja-rim struggles to sleep at night being haunted by the thoughts of him. The next morning she is greeted with a glaring breakout on her forehead.

Walking with her friends Ah-ram and Min-ji, Ju-young squeezes in to say hi to his crush. He tells about how he dreamt of her last night.

Subtly ignoring him, Ju-young relents not to reveal what he dreamt about, but thanks her nonetheless for visiting his dream which made him happy.

Riding on his thoughts, Ja-rim asked him to pay an appearance fee, not realizing that Ju-young is always up for a challenge. Beamingly, he presents a vitamin sachet to her. While saving that special moment of him gifting her a vitamin pack in his memory, he sees Ja-rim pouring the sachet on Ah-ram’s mouth.

Seeing the two’s interaction, Min-ji gives a meaningful smile. As they settle on their seats, Min-ji probes on something different in her interaction with Ju-young.

“He’s not a bad kid, so there’s no need to be on bad terms with him.”

When asked about her feeling for Ju-young, Ja-rim responds 0 out of 10. Min-ji and Ah-ram agree though that at the rate of her interaction with Ju-young, they soon will date.

Wanting to confirm their deduction, Min-ji asks for the probability of her dating Ju-young, but before Ja-rim could answer, Ah-ram stops the latter because Kyung-woo is furtively eavesdropping their conversation.

Kyung-woo leaves the room and finds his friends practicing for a performance in the campus retreat’s talent show. Hogging all chances of making him look cool in front of Ja-rim, Ju-young has asked his friends to help out, even the unwilling Kyung-woo, who belongs to another class.

Luring his best friend with brand new earbuds, Kyung-woo agrees, not knowing that it was a trap. And with a video promise to join Ju-young’s team, he was left no choice even when the supposed earbuds were sham.

“You guys don’t even know what happened between me and Ja-rim on the day it rained.”

At night, Ja-rim and the girls chat about what they will wear at the retreat. Checking her wardrobe, Ja-rim notices Ju-young’s jacket. She motions returning it to him, but thinking about another of Ju-young’s declaration of adoration moment, she asks her sister Byul-rim to do it instead.

At that same moment, Ju-young and his brothers are at his place practicing the dance. Obviously unhappy for being forced, Kyung-woo plays on his phone while Ju-young tries to appease him.

He tells them of his big plan to dance and sing to confess his feelings. All his friends totally disagree of his thought. They reason out how the timing and the fact that his feeling is unreciprocated are good enough justifications not to proceed with his goal.

But love is not about timing for Ju-young, but a slight opening of chance that he could possibly be happy together with the girl he likes. He reveals about the slight connection that happened between him and Ja-rim on the day it rained. That being said, he thinks that the spark created should make him move a step closer to her.

Still not convinced of letting his friend dwell on his fixation to Ja-rim, Kyung-woo relayed about what he heard in the morning. Hearing his friend’s story that Ja-rim talked about 0 probability of liking him, Ju-young’s energy crashed for a bit.

Just then, he receives a message from Ja-rim asking him to go out. Happiness shoots straight to his face as he flaunts it to his love pessimistic friends.

However, instead of his dream girl, his sister came to return his jacket. Ju-young also finally learned that the jacket Ja-rim lent was not hers but Byul-rim’s.

“Have some in the bus when you get bored.”

It’s D-DAY to Isam Information High School’s retreat! The students go to their assigned buses to go to the base camp.

Boy-in-love Ju-young of course does not forget to treat Ja-rim with a serving of his daily morning sweetness and throws a small nut canister for her to munch when she gets bored.

Upon arrival to their destination, a routine check-up to the things the students brought was in place. When Ju-young overheard Ja-rim forgot her facial wash, he sets forth to buy it in the nearby town. His love sacrifice caused him punishment from his class advisor and retreat’s drill sergeant.

Learning Ju-young’s effort and the corresponding physical pain, Ja-rim looks for him. She gives him a bottle of milk sending Ju-young to infinite cloud nine. She further tells him that it does not make her happy when he goes extra mile for her and gets punished for doing so.

When Ja-rim asked if he already ate, his heart leapt and lie that he hasn’t. But, his lie backfires right away, because Ja-rim caught a grain of rice on his face.

Love Revolution Episode 3 Musings

If everyone has Ju-young’s positive attitude about love, there will be no heartbreaks. *chuckles As tiring his love chasing could get, I can’t help but scream MORE adorable antics and actions he is willing to do all for his dream girl.

I actually realized my sole complaint about this drama today. That is how it runs once a week only in 30 episodes. Nonetheless, I like this series to stay as sweet as the first day we met.

Raise your hand if you are also excited about Ju-young’s performance at the talent show! Because I am, too!

Love Revolution airs on kakao TV. It streams on iQIYI every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. KST.
