Unfortunately, Chief Go finds another couple in the office. Surprisingly it’s not Ja-sung and Young-won. It’s Ui-joo and Sang-soon. Those two are so flirty that is why Chief Go discovers out about them immediately.

He was very disappointed with this office romance and often nags at them. That is why Ja-sung and Young-won have to be extra careful so that Chief Go won’t nag at them too. However, they still feel bad towards Ui-joo and Sang-soon.

Ui-joo still doesn’t know that Young-won and Ja-sung get back together. However, when she finds out she feels betrayed. Especially since she and Sang-soon are the only couple that has to deal with Chief Go’s nags.

So, both of them apologize to Ui-joo and Ja-sung makes it up to her. He announces that he agrees with office romances as long as the employees are hardworking and don’t involve their personal life and problems in their work.

“There is such happiness in building a house and living in it.”

Young-won features about homeowners who build their own houses. They said that building a house is much more fulfilling than just owning a house. Buying a lot and designing the house feels very intimate. It makes you want to live within it more.

She has the idea that maybe she should do that too. However, when she relays it to Ja-sung, he advises her that she should not consider that because the process might take a long time.

Young-won feels disappointed and they quarrel. Ja-sung knows what he said is bad so he makes it up to Young-won. He just wants to give Young-won advice. She knows that he cares for her and he just wants the best for her.

“Just like a well-built house with a strong foundation, I hope our love will last forever.”

Their relationship is going stronger each day. When they feature about trips, Ja-sung shares that never in his life, he went on a school trip because he has to work at a very young age.

So, Young-won has an idea to take him on a trip. He loves it and quickly prepares for it. Ja-sung is too excited about this trip that he even asks Sang-soon and Chief Go for advice.

Ja-sung also reveals to Young-won that he doesn’t trust people easily before but now he tries to have trust others again. He shared that he once trust someone but betrays him and he felt devasted because of this. Young-won also shares her experience that she lost money to her old landlady and wants to retrieve the money back but she won’t talk to her.

They both share the same situation and are able to manage their life. Ja-sung thinks that because of these experiences their relationship becomes stronger.

“A good home is where good people live.”

Before Ja-sung and Young-won’s trip, she finds out the man who lives in the mountain, whom Sang-soon features last time, is her father. It is revealed in the previous episodes that Young-won’s father ran away when their family faces a problem.

She and her mother go there and find that her father is living a hard life. Her mother is so angry with his father but also understands so she forgives him. However, her father is also to be blamed on Ja-sung’s past.

Young-won feels awkward now to be with Ja-sung because she feels that their family is reliable for what happened to him in the past. On the day of their trip, he does whatever he thinks of what makes Young-won happy.

But still, she feels the guilt. So after their trip, she introduces him to her father. Her father asks for an apology. Ja-sung forgives him and that everything is fine. However, she knows that somehow, it’s still causing a burden to him so she decides to break up with him.

She doesn’t want to do it but she has to because she wants him to fully heal from that experience. Ja-sung understands this. After that Young-won resigns and leaves the company.

He finds out that she is currently owning a magazine home company too. And she has her own house now. Ja-sung is so happy for what Young-won achieves. She is happy for him too. And all ends well.

Monthly Magazine Home Episodes 15 and 16 Musing

This Drama ends in a very heartwarming way. The story reached its goals and gives us a satisfying ending. However, it also ends in an open ending. We didn’t get to see what really happens to Young-won and Ja-sung’s breakup. But at least they give Ui-joo and Sang-soon a fairytale love story.

We really admire their relationship from the beginning. Sang-soon and Ui-joo are meant to be together. We like to also highlight that part where Ui-joo is the one to asks for marriage even though she doesn’t believe in it. It was a great scene, Sang-soon changes Ui-joo into a better person and heals her wounds.

Monthly Magazine Home is an example of a rom-com that ends in a very meaningful way. Some dramas may give you a romantic ending but this drama leaves you a meaningful ending that will linger in your mind.

From dialogues to the plot, this drama really gives us a lot of feels and lessons that we should treasure in life. All in all this drama serves us a beautiful story. It is a great drama.
