Why Her Episode 14 Highlights
“My patience has its limits.”
Chairman Choi dissuades Soo-jae from catching the three real culprits by his revelation, and he also suggests that she is now worthy of marriage to Ju-wan.
In disbelief of what she heard, Soo-jae verbally mouths that she loathes the Chairman and slaps Ju-wan in the office.
Surprised also by his father’s move, Ju-wan remains consistent on not knowing anything when questioned about the woman they dragged.
Yoon-sang feels frustrated after overhearing Ju-wan’s call about Soo-jae being the mother of Jae-yi.
While drinking with his friends, Chairman Choi calls over their sons, and Han Dong-o accidentally exposes what they know about the woman they dragged from the club.
Angered, Chairman Han and Assemblyman Lee kick their own sons, and they rely on Chairman Choi who instructs them to follow Ju-wan in claiming that they don’t know what happened.
“How could you not have recognized your own daughter?”
Confused by her daughter’s sudden visit and warm eyes, Soo-jae’s mother asks Chan to look after her daughter.
Soo-jae tells Seung-yeon that she did not believe Chairman Choi right away, and that she wishes to run the test herself.
Being certain without the test, Seung-yeon responds to Soo-jae that neither she or Ju-wan deserves Jae-yi.
She brings Jae-yi over, and spends some time with Soo-jae. Handing Jae-yi’s sample for the DNA test, Seung-yeon tells Soo-jae that she was certain they looked alike while taking a picture before.
Arriving home drunk, Chairman Choi misses Yoon-sang sneaking in to gather data from the laptop.
“Only idiots fall for a trick they know about. If you’ve made a wrong choice, you can recant your errors.”
Lawyer Song relays Soo-jae’s message to Han Gi-taek, and assures him that Soo-jae can face Chairman Choi.
Meanwhile, Kang-ja collects information from her past colleagues, and Chan visits the man who testified during his trial.
Based on the information they collected, the prosecution made that time stressful for them.
The others collect the DNA samples from Han Dong-o, Lee Si-hyuk, and Choi Ju-wan.
In the house he recently bought, Yoon Se-pil discovers plastic bags behind the wall they broke.
“This isn’t an offer. It’s an order.”
Verifying with the DNA test she ran herself, Soo-jae writes an agreement with Chairman Choi, which asks him to step down.
Among other details Soo-jae became sure of, she also has proof that Chairman Choi was the father of the fetus Park So-young died with.
After dropping by the chairman’s office, Assemblyman Lee’s and Chairman Han’s peace is disrupted by the news that threatens their standings.
Since his father was not answering any calls, Ju-wan visits the chairman in the office, and becomes curious about the similarity of the photograph he saw with what Mr. Yoon gifted to Han Dong-o.
Supposed to have dinner together, Chan follows Soo-jae who rushes over to Jae-yi after hearing that she went missing.
Locating Jae-yi, Soo-jae hugs her, and brings her over to meet with her parents. However, much excited to reunite with her mom and dad, Jae-yi crosses the road herself and gets hit by the bus.
Seung-yeon, Ju-wan, and Soo-jae witness this. Dying in the operation room, Soo-jae ignores authorities and mourns her daughter’s death.
Why Her Episode 14 Musings
There are no more doubts about who Jae-yi’s biological mother is. Soo-jae is confirmed to be the biological mother of Jae-yi.
Her stillbirth abroad was not true, and this was instead a leeway for Chairman Choi to hide Jae-yi’s birth from her own mother.
Clinging tight to the facts she knows, Soo-jae has somehow cornered Chairman Choi. However, as a cleaner of his friends also, Chairman Choi remains intact in protecting his son and his own interests.
Jae-yi’s situation is pitiful for a lot of reasons, one is living with the fact that her father and grandfather have committed a lot of crimes. Though they may be sweet figures to her, they are still unfit to look after an innocent child.
With her daughter’s sudden death, Soo-jae loses her mind while everything with Chairman Choi is also closer to crashing.
In the preview for the finale episodes, Soo-jae appears to be facing disbarment. However, this would rather motivate her to expose the truth during the process.
