One The Woman

One The Woman Episode 4 Key Moments

“Just because you won over the control of the management doesn’t mean people will actually listen to you.”

Yeon-ju listens to Mina’s aunt proudly declaring she called the board meeting and reiterates their family relationship is not run by blood but wealth. She also reminds her to mind that her invisible role in Yumin Group then, still applies at present.

Learning Seung-wook backed up her position, she regrets her rudeness. When she sees him leaving the Han mansion, they go for a quick chat. He gives comprehensive information of Yumin Group and Mina to study so she would look worthy of respect by the Board members.

Meanwhile, Chairman Han calls Prosecutor Ryu for the summon he received. He rushes to the prosecutor to resolve the issue. The case is not moving because the prosecutor handling it is Yeon-ju who suddenly went off-grid.

Seung-wook meets Lawyer No and shares the text message he saw on his mom’s phone clearly tells that his mother went abroad to protect him. He needs one crucial piece of information that only Mi-na knows and that’s why he needs to find her.

“Even if it’s someone else’s life, I should live it right. I won’t get caught and I’ll return this life back to you.”

Yeon-ju’s prosecutor instinct kicks in as she mulls over the possible crimes once her impersonation gets revealed. Surmising Mi-na’s life from the treatment of people around her, Yeon-ju decides to live it diligently before returning it.

Prosecutor Ryu asked Prosecutor An to check on Yeon-ju’s place but finds no clues to her sudden disappearance. Meanwhile, Yeon-ju’s uncles recount how they were mercilessly beaten by her raising their suspicion that she has thrown them away.

Sadly, looking back at how they helped her become a prosecutor after failing the exam many times, they can’t make up their mind about the situation. The next day, Yeon-ju meets Seung-wook at Yumin for the board meeting.

Giving her advice to speak less, she flaunts her ridiculously good memory. She blurts how she feels being choked when she can’t memorize something not remembering her two uncles buried her so she can be extremely motivated to memorize law books.

Looking meek in facing the hyena-like board members, Yeon-ju listens as they run down her weaknesses that would implicate the company should she take the management rein. Deep in Yeon-ju’s heart, she felt a dejavu of the same situation she’s in.

There was a time when she was mistreated by her superior which led her to vow for riches and power. That same driven attitude emerged as she lashes out the flaws of the overbearing board members in front of her.

At night, her husband’s mistress reports her appointment as the new Chairman of Yumin Group being voted unanimously. At a gambling den, Lee Bong-sik, the man Yeon-ju was chasing saw the news. Apparently, he also helped Kang Mi-na flee the country by boat.

“I thought she only stayed at home. What has she been doing?”

Claiming a new position, Yeon-ju receives a not-so-nice congratulatory gift from Sung-hye. She instigated her to be framed for using drugs by adding them to her painkillers. Prosecutor An and his team got the tip push to get her for questioning, but the Seoul Prosecutor’s Office steps in.

With her urine test coming negative, Lawyer No takes her out of the office introducing himself as his new lawyer. Yeon-ju learns of Lawyer No and Seung-wook’s connivance as they both acknowledge officially that the real Mina is missing.

Insisting they work together quickly to find the missing heiress, Yeon-ju declares not wanting to get into an accident or drug case again.

Arriving at Han mansion after a long day, Yeon-ju greets her parents-in-law. Her appointment as the new chairman of Yumin also emancipated her from the house chores.

In her room, Yeon-ju thinks about her previous encounters with people calling her respectfully. Her clever mind, excellent memory and knowledge of the law helped her deduce that she could be a prosecutor.

One The Woman Episode 4 Musings

Finally, we know what happened to Mina. Much as we want her to join the fun in serving a payback to her wicked in-laws, we’d gladly let her enjoy the vacation she deserves. After all, she sustained quite a load of house chores and the emotional trauma of being abused by Han family.

But she better return to where she belongs since she has a lot of unfinished business that would be gratifying only if she claims it. Lee Bong-sik certainly would make a cunning move knowing the secret of Mina and Yeon-ju pretending to be her.

Not that we’re wishing for the doppelgangers to switch roles but rather cooperate since their fates are really gravitated to expose the evil ways of Han family. Sooner, Yeon-ju will set forth to trace her true identity.

Humor and witty lines are keeping the zesty mood of One The Woman. Both the main leads are doing a great job in keeping the comical moments subduing the implied corruption realities intertwining the prosecutor’s office and business conglomerate.

Can Yeon-ju survive Seung-hye’s attack while keeping her A-game in pretending as Mina? Next week’s episodes hint at Prosecutor Ryu ordering a missing person report for Yeon-ju. Can her smarts and cooperation with Seung-wook save her in case of an unexpected trap?
