You Are My Spring Episode 7 Key Moments
“Don’t be scared to date. Not all breakups are as hard as that one.”
Starting the episode, Ian Chase had a nightmare and attacks Da-Jung. She is also shocked because of the aggressiveness of Dr. Chase.
Meanwhile, Eun-Ha goes to Gangneung and opens up her feelings to Da-jung’s mom. The latter advises that Eun-Ha should overcome the fear of dating again.
She also tells Eun-Ha that being in love with someone isn’t limited to opening her heart and giving her every piece. Eun-Ha can always make efforts to show her affections.
“You got hurt. And I’m so pissed off at that guest I don’t even know. But I have no right to be mad as we’re only neighbors. And it’s weird for me to get mad.”
Since Eun-ha and her brother Chul-do, won’t be able to work in the coffee shop, Young-Do and Da-Jung volunteer in serving the customers.
While checking the supplies, Young-do saw Da-Jung’s wrist with a bruise. He gets mad and shows his caring side for Da Jung.
“Some people don’t feel safe with their feelings. People like that get scared and do one of these two things when someone gets too close. They go into hiding to avoid that person or hurt that person without even realizing it.”
Patrick consults Young-do on his feelings for Ga-Young. Young-do explains to him that people have different attitudes in handling their feelings.
As for Ga-young, Patrick realizes that she is avoiding him. He chooses not to be so clingy with Ga-young and just reassures her that he’s doing fine.
“Whenever I go to Young-do, he always scolds me, but I still go to him because I want to check if I’m doing okay. And that’s because when I wasn’t okay, Young-do noticed and saved me.”
When Ga-young stays for a while at Da-Jung’s home, she confesses to Da-Jung and tells her that Young-do has been there for her when she wanted to end her life.
During her desperate times, Young-do encourages her to live. He even married her just to help her.
“Are you okay now? Are you not hurt anywhere? It must have been really hard on you. And I hope, things will get easier for you.”
Teary-eyed, Da-Jung asks Ga-young if she is okay now and hopes that life would be easier for her.
Ga-young also cries because she remembered that Young-do said the same line to her.
“I felt uncomfortable that you saw the part I don’t want anyone to see. But your story made me feel better.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Chase contacts Da-Jung and apologizes for his behavior. Da-Jung affirms that she understands because she also had nightmares when she was a kid.
“You know everything about me, you’ve been to my house, and you’re close to my mom. You knew how I grew up and you even figured out what I didn’t tell you, but why can’t I do anything for you?”
When Young-do was rushed to the hospital because of a fever, Da-Jung got worried. She calls him and asks why he can’t do anything for him.
Young-do does help her a lot when she needed comfort and assistance in her everyday life. Da-Jung wants to at least bring back all those efforts.
“I’m telling you all of this because I’ve come to like you.”
Young-do invites Da-jung to his house and shares his childhood experiences, starting from his family and his struggles with his health.
With a serious face, he tells Da-Jung that he likes her and asks if they can become friends. Da-Jung gets startled and can’t find words to answer Young-do back.
“All relationships come to an end, for the lucky ones, they end with marriage, if not, with breakups. But for some people, they end as soon as their feelings are professed.”
Ending the episode, Da-jung goes to the bus stop and thought of the things that happened. However, she comes back running into Young-do’s apartment and gives him a warm hug.
You Are My Spring Episode 7 Musings
Starting the episode, I am so hopeful that Young-do would confess his feelings for Da-Jung this episode, and I am so happy that he did.
However, what I love most in this episode is that Ga-young started to shimmer light to us about her true self. Even though she seems always happy, there’s an empty hole in her heart that cannot be filled.
She even wanted to end her life but sooner realizes that even though life is tough, there are still good people around her that would help her.
I also felt the warmth when Young-do was telling stories of his childhood to Da-jung. The silence in his apartment makes me want to listen more to whatever things he would say.
Young-do’s confession is one of the sincerest confessions I’ve ever watched in Korean dramas. His expression seems to be telling that he wanted to go for more, however, something is holding him back.
Meanwhile, the episode also unveiled that Jung-Min met Young-do when they were still children in an orphanage. The secret of the twins is yet to be revealed in the upcoming episodes of You Are My Spring.
