As Da-jung and Young-do got to know more each other well, they also spent more time together in the latest episode of You are my Spring.
When Young-do came rushing to Da-jung’s place, he flashed a sweet smile and ask her if she wants to do crazy things. Meanwhile, the relationship of Ian Chase and Choi Jung-Min was unveiled.

You Are My Spring Episode 6 Key Moments
“What crazy things do you want to do? It’s snowing.”
When Young-do runs towards the house of Da-jung, he asked him what crazy things she wants to do since it was snowing.
They both go to Young-do’s school and he leads Da-jung to see the magnolia tree that he was talking about.
“I have to go to work tomorrow, but due to some strange closeness I feel toward you, I came all the way here at this hour just to see a single tree.”
Da-jung and Young-do shared again their night talks and felt the cold breeze brushing on their faces. She also asks Young-do why he doesn’t drink, and Young-do said that he must do his best to live long.
“Breaking up with someone means you must say goodbye to everything you met through them.”
On the other hand, Eun-Ha (Kim Ye Won) is having a hard time dating because of his past relationship with his ten year ex-boyfriend.
Da-jung comforts her by reassuring her that it wasn’t her fault and that people would think whatever they want to think.
“The reason why two people can’t be crazy and muster up the courage in front of each other if they are not each other’s first love is too clear.”
Ga-young who has a complicated relationship with Patrick asks Da-jung if she can drive her. They exchange conversations, and Ga-young felt that Da-jung has a relationship with Young-do.
Then, Da-jung go to her apartment with Ga-young who requests her not to tell Young-do that she was there.
“I have three hands now since your right hand is mine too.”
When Da-jung went to Young-do’s office, they talk about things regarding psychiatry and she is amazed how Young-do knows about those things.
They also stared at each other when Young-do grabs her hand pushing an awkward moment.
“Even police officer feels fear, some people try to brush it off with a strong sense of vocation.”
Detective Park-Ho got stabbed badly on his stomach and Young-do advises him that’s police officers also feel fear. Young-do also tells him that he might suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), so he should not hesitate to consult him.
The man who stabs him is still unknown, and detective Jin-Bok badly wants to catch the culprit.
“I want to save him.”
In the episode, a flashback of Young-do’s childhood was seen. He wants to save his brother by donating one of his kidneys, however, his father doesn’t want that. His brother died and, this left his mother depressed.
“A warm room, tangerines, cats. He was warmhearted like that.”
Meanwhile, Ian Chase once again had a conversation with Da-jung, and she admits that she didn’t expect that Jung-Min was like that.
“You’ll sell well better than your twin. “
The episode also revealed that Ian Chase is the twin brother of Jung-Min, and they were separated and sold when they were children.
Ian was sold in America, meanwhile, Jung-Min’s life when he was sold was still hidden.
Ending the episode, the curiosity about the life of the twins heightened. The relationship between Da-jung and Young-do is expected to bloom in the next episodes.
You Are My Spring Episode 6 Musings
The episode greatly showed how Da-jung and Young-do established tacit understanding and deeper connection. I love how they spend nights hanging out, eating, and simply talking about specific things.
The scenes were made more romantic, because of the snow and how they look at each other with much affection. Even though the relationship label is on the friendship level, they made every moment special.
Meanwhile, what also caught my attention in the episode is the flashback in Young-do’s childhood. At that age, it is seen that he had a very hard time with his brother’s situation.
Maybe the guilt was still there, and the lingering what-if his brother is still alive if he had pushed to give his kidney.
Being a psychiatrist, Young-do who help lots of people struggling mentally, he also needed help during his weakest time. I hope that in the next episodes, Da-jung would be one of those people that would help him heal.
Moreover, the mystery between Ian Chase and Jung-Min was yet to be fully unearthed. Albeit on the surface, it reeks of intrigue I find it slow-moving.
Maybe the mystery between them would be clear in the next episodes, and hopefully, it would matter in the story.
