“Dream” Displays Lee Ji Eun As Passionate Documentary Producer

Dream Lee Ji Eun

Transforming into a diligent producing director in Dream, Lee Ji Eun (IU) is featured in the latest teasers of the movie.

Dream depicts the story of former football player Hong-dae (Park Seo Joon), who has no plan; So-min (Lee Ji Eun), a producer who has no passion; and homeless ragtag national team players, who challenge impossible dreams and have no home.

In the film, Park Seo Joon suits up to the role of Hong-dae, who became the manager of the Homeless Football World Cup national team. Without a plan, he needs to overcome the worst crisis of his career. He is humane yet harsh and soft-hearted but also has a hot temperament.

Astounded by the fantastic teamwork of homeless players who have never played sports, Dong-hae cannot quit his managerial job as a talent donation. He is a character who is compassionate and Park Seo Joon perfectly assimilates his emotions.

In addition, the collaboration between Park Seo Joon and Lee Ji Eun draws interest. In the film, Lee takes the role of PD So-min who produces a documentary about the Homeless Football national team’s World Cup appearance.

Dream Lee Ji Eun

Notching her second film since the critically-acclaimed Broker, Lee Ji Eun portrays Producer So-min. She has run out of passion and money as she tries to complete a documentary about the challenges of the Korean national team ahead of their first appearance in the Homeless Football World Cup.

Playing a realistic character that never loses optimism, Lee Ji Eun challenges So-min’s lively expressiveness in acting.

In particular, the singer-actress, who learned a new way to hold the camera for the role of PD, improved the detail of her character immersion. Moreover, Lee immersed in her lines and gave her own colors to make her character unique.

Viewers can also expect the chemistry she shared with Park Seo Joon. In fact, the actor attests to his synergy with Lee Ji Eun.

He said, “I am an actor who does a lot of research on characters and works. The chemistry with Lee Ji Eun was there from start to finish in the movie. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy filming.”
