Jang Dong Yoon and Park Yoo Na To Star in Romantic Film “Long D”

It’s official! The casting for the film Long D was sealed with Jang Dong Yoon and Park Yoo Na playing the roles of long-distance lovers.

The film tackles how long-distance relationships work in our era. Jang Doo Yoon and Park Yoo Na are uniting in serving a romantic film on the big screen.

Scenes from the film will incorporate digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. On that note, the film portrays that life today is full of gadgets and has been part of everyday life.

Long D will also be co-produced by famous Russian-Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov who directed notable films including Night Watch, Day Watch, and Wanted.

The director sends his excitement in filming the movie and his thoughts about Korean production.

 “I am happy to participate in the production of Korean films with the Korean production company Twelve Journey at a time when interest in K-content is increasing worldwide.”


Meet the Long D On-Screen Couple

Jang Doo Hyun, who is best known for his leading roles in Korean dramas School 2017, A Poem a Day, and The Tale of Nokdu, will once again showcase his acting skills and will be relatable for those men who experience long-distance relationships.

Meanwhile, actress Park Yoo Na is well known for her roles in My ID is Gangnam Beauty and Sky Castle. Recently, she acted as Kang Soo Jin in the hit drama True Beauty.

In the movie, Jang Doo Yoon suits up as Doha, who is a social worker. His role shows the struggles between work life and the love he encountered for the first time in his 28 years.

Eventually, he falls for Tae-in (Park Yoo Na) who is an indie band vocalist. In the same situation with Doha, Tae-in also needs to choose between dreams and reality. 

The two eventually decide to start a long-distance relationship with the help of SNS platforms, webcams, and YouTube screens. 

Viewers who are also in a long-distance relationship will relate with the couple in Long D, as it tells the different struggles that the couple experiences.

The film is also a good watch for those who are confused about what to prioritize in life – love or dreams.

 

Doo-Hyun, in an interview, said that he was happy in filming and didn’t notice how time flies because they just finished filming last June 11.

Meanwhile, Yoo-Na hopes that the viewers will enjoy the movie as it will tell the reality of life and love.
