“Method Acting” Acquaints Viewers With Characters of Lee Dong Hwi and Kang Chan Hee

Method Acting

Following its official production announcement, the film Method Acting introduces its lead stars.

Method Acting traverses the story of an actor who wants to escape from the title of comedy actor, and a rising actor on the road to success but cannot fill the void.

It is billed as a black comedy in which Lee Dong Hwi plays a king character suffering from anorexia and tries to change his image as a comedy actor, but faces various difficulties and suffers humiliation.

In 2020, Method Acting was well-received in the 19th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival King of Comedy section and the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival Korean Fantastic: Short category.

Notably, the ambition to draw a story that is more solid than the short story and the story of the characters are also different.

Lee Dong Hwi, who plays the role of Lee Dong-hwi, who has been in a dilemma since his image as a comedy actor, conveys the duality of humans in detail through a character who continues to fast throughout filming to play the anorexic king.

Kang Chan Hee, who plays Jeong Tae-min, a former child actor opposite Lee Dong Hwi, is expected to show a different charm from her previous works by playing a character who does not enjoy his acting even though he is a very popular actor.

Method Acting is co-produced by Runup Company and WYSIWYG Studio, directed by Lee Ki-hyeok, who directed Method Acting and Rose.

The Knet-Crit Contents Investment Association, which invested in Runup Company last November, participated in the project investment for this movie, and the Credit Guarantee Fund Cultural Contents Support Center also added their will to the investment.

Method Acting is currently being filmed.
