“Tyrant” Names Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho and Kim Kang Woo In The Lead Cast

Confirming the lead cast, director Park Hoon Jung reunites with actors he worked with in his recent films.

Tyrant follows the story of people chasing each other after the last sample of the “tyrant’s program” disappears due to a delivery accident.

Steering the movie project is director Park Hoon Jung of The Showdown, New World and The Witch Parts 1 and 2 fame. Previously, he worked with Cha Seung Won in Night in Paradise. Thereafter, he helmed The Childe (Sad Tropics) which stars Kim Seon Ho and Kim Kang Woo.

In this movie, Cha Seung Won is a former agent who is tasked with eliminating the forces related to the tyrant program.

The seasoned reliable actor expresses gratitude to work with director Park anew.

“I am excited and happy that I will be able to meet the audience with a new look through Tyrant. I will do my best to show you good work with director Park Hoon-jung, the production team, and fellow actors.”

Next, Kim Seon Ho plays Choi Guk-jang, a member of a state agency that has been operating the tyrant program unofficially.

He hints at challenging an exciting character in Tyrant.

“It is an honor to greet the audience as Choi Guk-jang, who has a different charm from the characters I have shown so far. Following The Childe, I am happy to be able to work with director Park Hoon-jung once again.”

Lastly, Kim Kang Woo is a member of an overseas intelligence agency that is trying to destroy the last sample of the tyrant program. takes on the role of Paul.

Kim remarks elatedness to work in a genre that he looks forward to dabbling on.

“I am excited to meet the audience in a genre I have always wanted to challenge. I will do my best in every moment with my great fellow actors.”
