Another awaited series is up as Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoona collaborate for King The Land.
Hallyu fans first witnessed Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah‘s chemistry after collaborating on MBC Music Festival’s stage. Fans who wish to see their engaging chemistry on a drama series can now smile after SM Entertainment confirmed their upcoming project.
King The Land is a rom-com series about the next heir of the King Group, Goo Won (Lee Jun Ho). He is known for being intelligent, upright, and charming but cannot stand people who fake their smiles. Even though Gu Won will inherit King Group’s hotels, airlines, and other business properties, he lacks a sense of love.
He will then meet a hotelier that always needed to keep smiling despite how stressful her work is. Im Yoona will take the role of Chun Sarang. She is an optimistic hotelier who always wears a bright smile that can light any places she goes.
However, as she got a job at King Hotel, the once place that stored her happiest memories became a place for prejudices and misunderstandings in her life.
Writer Chun Sung Il of the global phenomenon drama series, All Of Us Are Dead, will be penning King The Land. A collaboration between BY4M Studio and NPIO Entertainment that produced The Red Sleeve, Forecasting Love And Weather, and A Time Called You will also produce the upcoming drama.
Consistently furthering their acting portfolios, both acclaimed Hallyu stars have been streaking projects in recent years. Notably, Lee Jun Ho garnered much love in his recent work in The Red Sleeve where he earned a Baeksang nomination. His other notable works include Confession, Wok of Love and Good Manager.
Meanwhile, Im Yoona has been working diligently both on small and big screens. She is known for her portrayal in Hush, The K2, The King In Love, and You Are My Destiny.
King The Land starts rolling the cameras this fall after completing its casting.
