Both appear to not be going on her way. The only bright things in her life are her trusted sister-friends and celebrity male friend.

But fate favors the diligent, her affection towards the convenience store manager she likes saw a ray of hope.

Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook), Saet Byul’s store manager has been dating a woman without the knowledge of her affluent family. Oftentimes, his girlfriend Yeon Joo sets the direction of their relationship. His big love though finally breaks because the wealth disparity of their families came into the picture.

Choosing to be filial and sticking to his upright beliefs, he finally emancipated himself from a relationship that saw him as the side who loves more.

Youth of May

More than recounting a nostalgic and innocent love, the series also serves as a tribute to the victims and survivors of one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of South Korea.

Ponderous and eventful, Youth of May traverses a timeless love story set against the backdrop of the 1980s. Owing to its melodramatic and retro nature, it may not appeal to viewers who prefer a lighthearted and contemporary narrative. But if you’re drawn to political and social context, you will most likely appreciate the drama immensely.

Taking history into account, it is not some typical sad romance story after all. The purpose of reviving the cruel and bitter past by mixing some fictional elements adds up to the overall appeal of the narrative.

Police University

Finding money to treat his father, Kang Sun Ho (Jinyoung) and his brother hacked an illegal gambling site using his hacking skills. He then got caught with the detective investigating a similar case, Detective Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun).

Detective Yoo then gave Sun Ho another chance but threatens him if they meet again. However, the two crossed paths again after Sun Ho joined the Korean National Police University, where Detective Yoo started teaching.

Later on, their bickering relationship changes after Detective Yoo asked Sun Ho’s help with the investigation. Together, they solved the case and found another true partner, who they trust to back them up.

Dali and Cocky Prince

Following a painful breakup, Kim Dali (Park Gyu Young), who comes from a wealthy family, stayed in the Netherlands to pursue her studies while working at an Art Gallery. She subsequently meets Jin Mu-hak (Kim Min Jae), the second son of a food franchise owner, who traveled to the Netherlands to secure a business deal.

However, due to some airport mishaps, Mu-hak mistakes Dali for his guide, which results in catastrophe when they both visit a high-profile exhibit and are escorted out.

Eventually, the two develop feelings for one another as Dali returns to Seoul following the death of her father and learns that the Art Gallery her family owns is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Faced with her father’s large debt and numerous encounters with problems, Dali and Mu-hak are bound to have a creditor-debtor relationship, which brings them closer together.
