Leading the production is director Oh Sang Ho (Doctor Detective), with production companies Studio S and Group 8 backing up the project. Penning the script is Park Jun Woo who worked on the screenplays of films Fabricated City and Code Name: Jackal.

Taxi Driver Opening Week Story
“Don’t die. Get revenge! We’ll do it for you.”
The first two episodes of Taxi Driver introduces Kim Do-Ki whose life changed when his mother was murdered by a serial killer.
He becomes a deluxe taxi driver and works for Rainbow Taxi Company. Not just an ordinary taxi company, it offers a special “revenge-call” service. If clients ask them to take revenge, Kim Do-Ki and his co-workers will perform the service.
Featuring an interesting case the premiere week highlighted how the team helped a woman exploited by a local business. Having a mental ability of a grade-schooler, she was mistreated when she thought she would be engaged to a decent job. Fortunately, she was able to seek help from the team who exact revenge on all the people who caused her unimaginable pain.
In addition, the series also introduced a notorious serial killer whom the team abducted. He was later given to a woman who imprisoned her.
Taxi Driver Opening Week Musings
Clear and convincing to its projected storyline, Taxi Driver makes an easy watch. If it will continue highlighting cases as engaging as Maria’s story, there’s no way it will not build interest from K-Drama fans.
There’s more to its intention to present the “good versus evil” card. To be honest, its picture of serving justice in the equal amount of pain done by the villains portrayed is quite shocking. Because it might give a wrong idea to viewers that avenging is a normal thing. Thus, emphasizing the motivation of the pointed-out situation should be dealt with accordingly, less it would incite negative impact.
Powering a premise with a wide range to move to, the series seems to thread on presenting stories per episode while building its main story conflict.
Taxi Driver airs on SBS every Friday and Saturday.
