Lee Tae Sun as Kim Myung-jin claims the mood maker in the drama Our Blooming Youth!
His eccentric charm as Joseon’s know-it-all person raised delightful moments in the opening week of the series.
Our Blooming Youth narrates the story of a mysterious cursed crown prince and a genius lady from a noble family who was named the culprit of a family murder overnight. In this youth redemption romance drama, Lee Tae Sun plays the role of Kim Myung-jin, the youngest son of Minister Kim An-jik of Military Affairs.
In the 1st and 2nd episodes, Kim Myung-jin, who was worthy of the title of ‘Joseon’s best geek’ was introduced. When Min Jae-yi (Jeon So Nee) was marked as her family’s murderer, he strongly opposed that declaration. He even tore Jae-yi’s wanted posters scattered in the capital.
He also establishes a relationship with Jang Ga-ram (Pyo Ye Jin) who he took as his apprentice in the research laboratory he set up in Joseon. Despite his clumsiness, he proved to be a reliable teacher with his uncanny skills.
Challenging the role of the mood maker in the drama, he energizes the story with his delightful wit and antics. Additionally, he showed off his strong presence by adding to comical moments by fully immersing in the erratic aspects of his character, such as hanging his monkey finger bone from his side and calling his name in the third person.
Through various works such as the dramas Hotel Del Luna and Prison Playbook, Lee Tae Sun has continuously built his acting portfolio. Bringing life to characters with his own color for each work, expectations are raised for the new performance he will show through Our Blooming Youth.
