Keeping his loyalty to Director Ha Byung-hun, Lee Do Hyun is set to play one of the series’ main lead characters who face life and death in Death’s Game.
Death’s Game, based on a popular webtoon of the same name centers on Choi Yi-jae (Seo In Guk), who is down on his luck in every facet of his life. Overwhelmed with all of his failures, Yee-jae decides to take his own life and “control death.” Death (Park So Dam) then decides to punish Yi-jae and he is reincarnated 12 different times, living 12 different lives. As a part of his punishment, Yi-jae must stop their imminent deaths.
The extensive, star-studded cast also includes Kim Ji-hoon (The Flower of Evil), Choi Si-won (Love Is for Suckers), Sung Hoon (Woori the Virgin), Kim Kang-Hoon (Racket Boys), Jang Seung-jo (The Good Detective), Lee Jae-wook (Alchemy of Souls), Lee Do-hyun (The Glory), Go Youn-jung (Alchemy of Souls), Kim Jae-uck (Her Private Life), and Oh Jung-se (Revenant). The series is written and directed by Ha Byung-hoon, who previously directed 18 Again, Go Back Couple, and The Sound of My Heart.
Lee Do Hyun as Jang Hun-woo
In Death’s Game, Lee Do Hyun plays the role of Jang Gun-woo, one of the characters shrouded in mystery featured in the 12 lives and deaths that Choi Yi-jae.
Lee Do Hyun previously worked with director Ha Byung-hun on 18 Again. Not forgetting the relationship he made at this time, he chose Death’s Game as his last project before enlisting in the military.
Director Ha also reveals Gun-woo’s character was written with Lee Do Hyun in mind when he was working on the script. It raises more curiosity about the synergy between the actor and director.
