Conveying her character preparations for Dong-eun; Song Hye Kyo explains the focus to emphasize revenge.
“I did not act pitifully as she is a character who needs a lot of consolation, and so that the revenge could be highlighted rather than her character.”
Director Ahn Gil-ho and Song Hye Kyo paid attention to detail by constantly refining the tone and speed of the narration lines in order to express Dong-eun’s clear purpose as she goes straight for revenge.
Meanwhile, Lee Do Hyun describes Joo Yeo-jung as a person who can be thought of as a light. He is pure, but when you get to know him, he also has a surprising different side.” The actor focused on portraying a soft appearance like a flower in a greenhouse and the darkness hidden within it.
Notably, Director Ahn praised Lee Do Hyun for perfectly transforming into a journey in which he could wield a sword dance for Dong-eun.
“Lee Do-hyun has well expressed the journey that seemed to be on the opposite side of Dong-eun and then changed as the narrative was revealed.”
Chameleon actress Lim Ji Yeon, who played Park Yeon-jin, the instigator of violence entices with her new acting challenge. She took on the challenge with the confidence that if she existed as Park Yeon-jin, she would definitely be attractive.
“Let’s make a villain that only Lim Ji-yeon can do!”
Writer Kim Eun Sook echoes the stunning villain of the story.
“There will be no reason or beautification for Yeon-jin’s evil deeds and malice. That is the reason for the existence of this series.”
