Collaborating with Chang-ho, Yoon-gab puts on a believable act in front of Mayor Choi in Big Mouth’s recent episode.
Requesting support from Chairman Kang, Chang-ho disguises himself as a double agent for the two organizations. As he is aware of Mayor Choi’s plans of killing him, Chang-ho teams up with Yoon-gab in faking a scenario of his death. Chairman Kang discovers Mayor Choi’s real identity, but the mayor perpetrates the elder’s death.

“We should keep potential threats at bay.”
In front of Chairman Kang, Chang-ho acts like his family is in threat of danger with the appointment of a new big mouse.
Attempting to gain the trust of the elder, Chang-ho hands the list of executives of big mouse’s organizations and willingly gives tips about the organization’s plans.
Offering himself as a double agent, Chang-ho voices his wish of receiving support for the mayoral election to the chairman. Convinced in accepting the deal, Chairman Kang invite Chang-ho and his wife to his birthday.
Mayor Choi tries to stop the chairman, but Chairman Kang is already set on keeping Chang-ho near.
Though welcomed by Ji-hoon and Chairman Kang, Mayor Choi gives cold treatment to Chang-ho.
Opening up about the whereabouts of the 100 billion Won, Chang-ho assures Ji-hoon that big mouse does not have it, and the money is closer than he thinks.
Mi-ho visits inmate 1503, Kwang-hyun, and the inmate checks on Mi-ho if she has bleeding on the gums and the nose.
Knowing he has leukemia, Mi-ho asks about the work of the model inmates, but Kwang-hyun tells her it’s better not to know since the work involves a lot of dangerous people.
As his last wish, Kwnag-hyun wishes to know if his mom got the bone marrow transplant.
“Power is like a knife. If you use it on fish, it’s a sashimi knife, and if you use it on a human, it’s a weapon.”
Mi-ho and her father wait in the parking lot, and approach Kwang-hyun’s brother who refuses to talk about their mother. However, his sister reveals that their mother died and asks them to never come back again.
Tasting the food cooked by Chairman Yang Chun-sik, the new owner of the restaurant, Jerry and Soon-tae find it unpleasant.
Chang-ho meets Yoon-gab who receives a call from the mayor after their meeting.
Revealing that Chang-ho showed the list of executives and betrayed the organization, Mayor Choi who is about to enter big politics offers an alliance with Yoon-gab in killing Chang-ho.
In the nursing home, Mi-ho determines the identity of the boys in the picture. They then confirm that the real Choi Do-ha died young while Cho Sung-hyun lives at present.
They figure out the mayor changed his identity from Cho Sung-hyun to Choi Do-ha, and that he is close to Chairman Kang for his revenge.
“It may be mayor, but the position is nothing more than being a human shield.”
Refusing to open his son’s gift, Chairman Kang denies giving his inheritance to his son whom he calls a devil while recalling a studio filled with artwork and an unconscious woman.
Ranking last place in the mayor election race, Jerry and Soon-tae remain hopeful even though Ki-kwang has doubts about it.
Chang-ho tells Yoon-gab about the mayor’s changed identity and plans for revenge. They then set a plan on taking out the old man from the nursing home. Suspicious of Yoon-gab, Jerry follows him but he gets hit and falls unconscious.
Preparing for the chairman’s birthday party, Chang-ho tells Mi-ho he has to go somewhere else and assures her that Ji-hoon would accommodate her.
Introduced to Chairman Kang, Mi-ho entertains the elder by telling how she made Chang-ho a great lawyer, the man he is today.
Yoon-gab gets ready to kill Chang-ho, calling Mayor Choi who watches live. Jerry wakes up and alerts Soon-tae, so Chairman Yang and his men prepare to go.
Fuming in anger for the betrayal, Chang-ho gets shot and Mayor Choi delightfully watches it live. Jerry witnesses this and calls Mi-ho about Chang-ho’s death.
Falling into shock, Mi-ho bursts into frustration and anger at Mayor Choi.
“I chose my country over my friend.”
Guaranteeing that Chang-ho is already in an incinerator, Mayor Choi rejoices with it and reacts to Yoon-gab probing his real identity.
Unknown to the mayor, Chang-ho is still alive and he is being watched by Chairman Kang. Discovering Mayor Choi’s real identity, the chairman assures Chang-ho to have anything he wants.
Shocked by Chang-ho’s unpredictable move, Chang-ho explains his side to Soon-tae who had doubts about Yoon-gab.
Waking up from being hospitalized, Mi-ho sees Chang-ho and hears that his death was all a ploy. He and Yoon-gab planned everything ever since Mayor Choi informed the former warden of Chang-ho’s betrayal.
Chairman Kang in a wheelchair waits for Mayor Choi to arrive, but he is unaware that the mayor has already been pushing the wheelchair.
Regretting his actions to Cho Hae-soo and NK Chemical, Chairman Kang experiences pain and Mayor Choi tells him his regrets were too late.
Enjoying the chairman’s death who had difficulty breathing, Mayor Choi orders Mr. Cha to process the chairman’s will as is. Waiting in the restaurant for the chairman’s action, Chang-ho sees on the news that Chairman Kang passed away.
Ji-hoon visits the funeral and feels infuriated with Mayor Choi being the chief mourner.
Chang-ho visits along with his people. Greeting Mayor Choi, Chang-ho calls him Cho Sung-hyun, knowing he killed the chairman. Unfazed with that, Mayor Choi continues to shed crocodile tears.
Brushing her teeth, Mi-ho sees blood in her toothbrush and her nose suddenly bleeds. She then recalls what Kwang-hyun said.
Big Mouth Episode 14 Musings
As this episode has shown betrayal and various emotions, the character portrayals are highly admirable especially after Chang-ho faked his death and Mayor Choi assumed the chief mourner role.
Yoon-gab proves his loyalty to the organization despite having hesitations in accepting Chang-ho as their new leader. His earlier actions were indeed suspicious, but it also somehow felt he was not ready to fully turn his back on the organization.
Of all the villains in this drama, Mayor Choi could be the most dislikable one. Ji-hoon and Chairman Kang may have their own faults, but Mayor Choi has gone to another level of evilness.
His main motivation at first was revenge for his deceased grandfather. His anger may have been understandable, but his extreme actions were no longer justifiable.
With the number of betrayals and twists in this episode, the drama that was entertaining and captivating has only two episodes left. Mi-ho appears to have gum bleeding, and it leaves the question in the finale week of whether there is still a cure for their conditions.
Look forward to the outcome of Chang-ho’s plans in the final episodes of Big Mouth on Friday and Saturday on Disney+.
