The Good Bad Mother

The Good Bad Mother Episodes 11 and 12 Highlights

Armed with Ye-jin and Seo-jin, Mi-joo heads to Young-soon and Kang-ho’s house.

However, her initial plan changes when Kang-ho appears in panic mode. Just then, Ms. Hoang, the woman Young-soon eyes to be by Kang-ho’s side also appears.

Learning Young-soon fainted, they rush her to the hospital.

“It’s your turn to stay strong by her side.”

Unable to process his mother’s sickness, Kang-ho is comforted by Mi-joo who advises him to be brave for his mother who is not feeling well.

Mi-joo’s mom also learns about her friend’s condition through Hoon. Arriving at home, she questions why the heavens seem to be spiteful of Young-soon. She also learns from her grandchildren that their mom and Kang-ho brought Young-soon to the hospital.

Mi-joo’s mom arrives at the hospital and witnesses Kang-ho being comforted by her daughter. Holding back her anger, she demands Mi-joo go home and will be taking care of Young-soon instead.

Hearing Young-soon’s pleading request to go home, they go to her room and she realizes that her secret is out. Remembering Ms. Hoang as soon as they get home, Young-soon calls her. But the latter refuses to marry Kang-ho anymore because of Mi-joo.

Young-soon then heads to see Mi-joo who is also being chided by her mother. She refuses to go to her sister’s place per her mom’s request and clarifies she’s not getting back together with Kang-ho.

Surprised to see Young-soon, Mi-joo listens to her rant about Ms. Hoang foregoing the marriage talk. Mi-joo’s mom intervenes when she hears her friend blaming her daughter again.

“If there’s one thing, I learned in all my years, is that there isn’t much to life. You just have to live happily with the people you love.”

Meanwhile, Sam-sik stumbles on Oh Tae Soo’s DNA document and a memory card of a voice recording. Needing money, he brings it forward to Kang-ho. He plans to siphon money by talking to Ha-young who was about to get married.

However, Assemblyman Oh’s men caught up on it and take him elsewhere to get the laptop with the recording.

On the day of Ha-young’s wedding, Chairman Song drops a bomb by revealing to Ha-young that Kang-ho is alive. She then leaves her wedding infuriating her father in the process. Confirming Kang-ho is alive she returns to her home and got beaten by her father.

After an eventful date, Kang-ho sings for his mother who requested wanting to hear his voice.

At that same moment, Mi-joo also sings for her children. She gets surprised when Ye-jin brings up her father. Ye-jin reveals knowing her situation and adorably proposes for her mom to just have a divorce. She gives her mom an insightful pep talk on how to live life.

Back at Young-soon and Kang-ho’s house, they receive a phone call about the farm. They find it burning and in the process of saving his mother first, Kang-ho gets left behind the burning farm.

The village people arrive and Samsik drenched himself with water to go inside and rescue Kang-ho. But he ended up being carried by Kang-ho on their way back.

Pushed to the edge, Oh Tae Soo renews his affiliation with Chairman Song since his presidential campaign is hanging on a thread.

“If Kang-ho regained his memories, he would surely find evidence again.”

Mi-jo rushes to see Young-soon and convinces her to report the real deal about the fire. She explains to Mi-joo about the fire that also killed her husband and shares her intention of leaving with Kang-ho.

Unknown to them, Kang-ho already woke up and was hearing their conversation and also learns that he is the real father of Ye-jin and Seo-jin. Later, Kang-ho tells his mother that his memories are back, but he has to find evidence since it is the only way for him to survive. He asks her to keep it a secret.

Then he goes to see Mi-joo to share the same but tells her not to forgive him yet since he is still on the same mission, he told her the last time they separated.

Young-soon also calls the village people and prepares a feast for them which looney Hoon also attended.

While Kang-ho searches for the ajussi who helped him sneak Chairman Song’s secretary, Mi-joo and Sam-sik go on a mission to meet Ha-young.

The Good Bad Mother

The Good Bad Mother Episodes 11 and 12 Musings

It is a tough ordeal for Kang-ho to clear his name and confront the looming permanent separation from his mother in The Good Bad Mother. It’s nice that Young-soon proposed a bucket list for them to fulfill and also clarified things with Mi-joo.

Going in the same situation as his father, Kang-ho is at least equipped with the know-how that can stand a chance against the almost invincible opponents he has. Hopefully, this conflict wraps up quickly with conviction since he needs to complete his bucket list with his mom and also make up for the time, he missed with his family.

Although a sad ending is on the horizon, the portrayals of the actors really took this series to an engrossing level. Given its problem-laden plot, it is still strangely addicting.

Can Kang-ho emerge victorious with his mission?
