Today’s Webtoon Episode 11 Highlights
“Even when I last saw my sister at the airport, I told her to keep it up, when she was already doing her best.”
Opening the episode with a quick flashback of Jun-yeong and his sister Ae-ri, showing how adorable and optimistic her sister is.
Meanwhile, Jun-yeong asks Ji-hyung about Ae-ri. However, he doesn’t get any answers as they are busy drinking and partying. Jun-yeong looks angry and his way of speaking made Ji-hyung wonder.
He looks into Ae-ri’s family and asks producer Yoo-mi, who was close to Ae-ri before, and finds out that she had a brother who was studying abroad when she died, he wasn’t able to attend her funeral.
Ji-hyung now knows that Jun-yeong is Ae-ri’s brother; however, he doesn’t know how to tell this Man-chul.
“Our team? Do you really think there is a place for you on our team?”
Jun-yeong has been feeling remorseful after his uncle tells him the truth behind his sister’s death. It turns out that Ae-ri works in Gingertoon before as a contract employee just like Ma-eum.
However, she was the first one to get laid off when the company went under. This infuriates Jun-yeong, and he gets more irritated when he is having lunch with Ma-eum.
His so-called friends tease him about renting out his house because he needs money. He then walks out, out of anger. Ma-eum immediately follows him in hopes of cheering him up.
However, Jun-yeong rudely tells her if she really thought that there was a place for her in the company considering she is only a contract employee.
Ma-eum is left speechless as Jun-yeong walked away.
Furthermore, Jun-yeong feels remorseful because his sister worked to the bone to pay for his education abroad, and he blamed himself for his sister’s death.
“I hope you experience only good things in your new place.”
Shin Dae-ryuk has been doing well these days after the success of his webtoon debut.
Ma-eum helps him move in and helps him buy groceries for his home. Dae-ryuk hasn’t felt so charged in a long time, and it is because of Ma-eum.
He gets a dream catcher so that he won’t have any nightmares and get good sleep, Dae-ryuk calls her pretty indirectly and puts out a smile that we rarely see on his face.
It was adorable to see that Dae-ryuk had finally moved out of his old dark apartment and moved into a new one.
Meanwhile, he receives a call from an unregistered number and ignores it because he doesn’t answer calls from numbers he doesn’t know.
However, it looks like someone from Dae-ryuk’s past is trying to reach out to him.
“Truth hurts the most sometimes. I wanted to believe that it wasn’t because of me. But actually, I knew very well that it was because of me.”
Jun-yeong went to see Ma-eum and apologizes for talking rudely to her the other day and just leaves without saying anything.
The next day, Man-chul finds Jun-yeong’s resignation letter on his table, and Ma-eum overhears Ji-hyung talking about it to Man-chul over the phone.
With that, Ji-hyung has to tell Ma-eum about Ae-ri. Showing us a flashback of Gingertoon’s downfall, Ae-ri had to go because Gingertoon was shut down. However, Man-chul was strong-willed about bringing his team back together, including Ae-ri.
He begged many investors and NEON’s CEO finally accepted their offer. However, on the same day, Man-chul received a call and found out that Ae-ri had lost her life in a car accident.
Meanwhile, Man-chul has found out that Jun-yeong is Ae-ri’s younger brother, and he can only think that Jun-yeong must’ve gone to visit Ae-ri’s memorial.
Furthermore, Man-chul requests Jun-yeong to check out the old things of Ae-ri from Gingertoon’s office, and then he will decide on his resignation.
Meanwhile, Jun-yeong goes to their office and sees Ae-ri’s notebook that Man-chul left on his table. He immediately reads her notebook and burst into tears.
Ae-ri has been looking after Jun-yeong like a guardian angel, and when she sees Ma-eum comforting Jun-yeong, she smiled and finally disappeared, as Jun-yeong now has someone to look after him.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 11 Musings
Today’s Webtoon Episode 11 is an episode of emotions, it highlights what it’s like to lose a family and a friend. Ae-ri’s death illustrates how her optimism and cheerful personality left a huge impact not only on Jun-yeong but on Man-chul and the rest of the team also.
Moreover, Ma-eum and Ae-ri have similarities in their personalities and also mirror the same fate as they are both contract employees.
Ma-eum’s positive outlook on life and cheerful personality is obviously similar to Ae-ri’s, and they are the types of people in your life who will cheer you when times get hard.
That is why in the previous episode of Today’s Webtoon, Jun-yeong said to Ma-eum that she reminds him of someone.
Furthermore, it looks like Jun-yeong has other plans in his mind, When Jun-yeong went to meet Director Heo with all the data from the webtoon team that he had collected, he decided to not give it to him.
He then tells Director Heo that he is still thinking if it is the right thing to do.
Director Heo threatens him that if he doesn’t give him the data, he will expose Jun-yeong’s security breach of the data he sent him before.
However, Jun-yeong has nothing to worry about and asks Director Heo if a newbie like him will be more affected by it or an executive in a higher position, which left Director Heo taken aback by what Jun-yeong said.
Lastly, when Jun-yeong went to Ma-eum’s house to apologize to her, Ma-eum told him that she saw their pictures at Dae-ryuk’s place, and she said how happy they were because Jun-yeong was laughing and smiling.
While Jun-yeong was looking at Ma-eum, his inside voice said that he was laughing and smiling because he was with her. It looks like Jun-yeong’s feelings for Ma-eum are slowly getting deeper and we can’t wait to see how their friendship grows even more in the next few episodes.
However, the way how Dae-ryuk looks at Ma-eum is hinting us that he is slowly liking Ma-eum.
This episode clarified some of the previous episodes’ unanswered questions. Now that Today’s Webtoon is steadily approaching its finale week, expect more revelations in the upcoming episodes.
Hopefully, we will get to know why Director Heo is adamant about taking Man-chul’s webtoon team down and what will be Jun-yeong’s plan now that he knows the reason behind her sister’s death.
