Today’s Webtoon Episode 12 Highlights
“I always hated comic books. When my sister was alive, I hated them because I thought they were like jokes for kids compared to my reality.”
Jun-yeong subsequently finds his way back to the NEON webtoon service team after going through his sister’s notebook and understands how much she cherished webtoons and also her team when she was alive.
Ma-eum has been of great support to him by comforting him and always being present whenever he needs someone by his side. Jun-yeong has started to realize that he has been developing feelings for her.
The next morning, he gets jealous when he sees Ji-hyung and Ma-eum together in the elevator and drinking the same coffee.
Moreover, when Jun-yeong and his rookie artist talked about the plot of her webtoon, Jun-yeong hilariously imagined Ji-hyung, Ma-eum, and himself as the characters from the webtoon.
It looks like a love triangle dilemma is about to emerge between the three of them.
“I’m aware that you don’t have enough time to get anything done properly, but if you do manage to find a way, fight with everything NEON has got and win.”
Jun-yeong has already lost director Heo’s trust after he told him that he would have to think about it before giving him the data.
However, he still wants to meet director Heo and talk to him about the same plan.
Jun-yeong doesn’t want the webtoon team to vanish, and it looks like he has some plans on his mind.
Director Heo eventually agrees to meet him after Jun-yeong calls him multiple times. Jun-yeong brings him the data. However, director Heo refuses to accept it because he doesn’t need it anymore.
That shocked Jun-yeong. He then asks director Heo for one more chance, and director Heo accepts the data from him in exchange for giving him a task that will surely end the webtoon team.
Furthermore, the CEO of NEON has shown her support to Man-chul and encourages him to use NEON’s service to leverage his offers and save his team.
To get a better grasp on their proposals, Man-chul approaches Artist Mo, who used to work with Gingertoon, but unfortunately, he works with Youngtoon now and brings them good revenue.
Man-chul needs Artist Mo because he knows that director Heo is on the move to acquire Youngtoon, he then informs his team about what could happen.
However, it looks like producer Kwon felt uneasy as something from his past was triggered upon hearing artist Mo’s name, giving us a quick flashback of producer Kwon and artist Mo’s past.
“I need evidence on why he’s doing this, especially in times like this.”
Ma-eum is bothered because of the current situation of the NEON webtoon team, and Jun-yeong cannot see her like that. He joins director Heo for dinner, who also brings Youngtoon’s CEO with him.
Jun-yeong thinks he can fool director Heo. However, he is one step ahead of him and he already has a plan to shake the Webtoon team.
Meanwhile, Ma-eum sees Jun-yeong coming out of a restaurant with director Heo, yet she doesn’t say anything to him.
The following day, an article was released stating that Director Heo is pushing for a Youngtoon takeover.
The news article has a negative impact on the webtoon team as artist Mo doesn’t proceed with the offer and calls Man-chul deceptive.
All the artists start calling their producers to find out the truth about the situation of the NEON webtoon team.
Man-chul had seen Jun-yeong with director Heo and suspected him that he was reporting his team’s progress to him.
Meanwhile, Jun-yeong receives a call from director Heo and leaves the office immediately. Ma-eum then follows him and sees him again with director Heo.
The shock and disappointment are evident from Ma-eum’s reaction and Jun-yeong needs to give an explanation or he will take the blame for the webtoon team’s downfall.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 12 Musings
Today’s Webtoon Episode 12 made our blood boil because of Director Heo, who’s on the move and eager to take the NEON Webtoon Team down. Moreover, it looks like Director Heo planned this long before with Youngtoon’s CEO.
Furthermore, Jun-yeong is trying to do good for his team, but he is dealing with an experienced con who can bring him down easily. It looks like Jun-yeong has gotten himself into a mess that is difficult for him to get out of.
Hopefully, Jun-yeong will be successful playing with Director Heo and eventually expose his real intentions and dirty work.
Moreover, let’s appreciate Man-chul for being the best chief editor of the team. In this week’s episode, Man-chul showed how he is trying his very best to save his team.
We can also relate to how he acts tough in front of the team because he knows it will affect the rest of the team’s mood when he acts all bothered and frustrated.
On the bright side, it seems like Pomme’s male assistant was innocent and that the man who harassed Pomme in the first episode is her stalker, who was eventually caught by Ma-eum, thanks to her keen observation and sharp eyes.
In addition to that, it looks like Jun-yeong is not the only one who admires Ma-eum secretly, with Ma-eum not having any idea about it at all. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Furthermore, the NEON webtoon team faces another series of downturns, which leaves us wondering about the future of NEON webtoon.
Today’s Webtoon looks like it is carefully building up the tension and anticipation, and hopefully, it will be worth anticipating.
