After letting go of Goo Seul-a to work with Producer Kwon, Ma-eum finds out that he has been treating the new artist in a harsh way in Today’s Webtoon episode 6.
Ma-eum returns to work following her confession to her father that she wants to work in an office and no longer compete in tournaments. Meanwhile, NEON removed the webtoon page to the homepage due to low sales, adding to Man-chul’s concern for the team.

Today’s Webtoon Episode 6 Highlights
“I’ve been a little sleep-deprived.”
Goo Seul-a started working on her project with Producer Kwon and at first, she was happy about it. Furthermore, she calls Ma-eum and asks her for a lunch meetup.
Seul-a thanked Ma-eum for the support that she had given her and apologized to her for accepting a project from another producer.
However, Ma-eum noticed that something was wrong with Seul-a. It turned out that she had finished drawing 3 episodes for a week. That shocked Ma-eum.
Moreover, Seul-a gets a call from Producer Kwon, and he tells her to change the appearance of the character within the same deadline.
Seul-a panics and runs home to work immediately, leaving Ma-eum bothered because of what she witnessed.
“Words are powerful. If you say negative things, they come true, like you’ve been cursed by your own words.”
Ji-hyung paid a visit to writer Baek Eo-jin as he has been falling behind on his regular schedule and he wanted to check on his progress.
It turns out that writer Baek has been learning to draw digitally and often needs help from his assistants. His adorable assistant, Dong-hee, has been his assistant for the longest time. With the new addition to their team, Dong-hee seems to doesn’t like Dae-ryuk for his rude behavior.
Dae-ryuk obviously does not know how to communicate casually with others; with that, his personality is frank. Dong-hee often looks down on himself, and Dae-ryuk often tells him to not look down on himself, as words have power and they make things come true.
In the end, Dong-hee was always left speechless because of Dae-ryuk.
“She always makes me feel less of a man.”
Chief Heo has told Jun-yeong to give him reports on the webtoon team. With that, Jun-yeong emails the entire team data to his personal address.
However, Ji-hyung gets a call from the security team about this breach, and he asks Jun-yeong for an explanation.
Luckily, Jun-yeong came up with an explanation and tells Ji-hyung that he wanted to study the team, and Ji-hyung just shrugs it off and tells him to take it easy and follow the company protocols.
Subsequently, Ji-hyung gives him the task of getting a hundred comic books signed by Pomme but seeing the box made him surprised. Ma-eum realizes that Jun-yeong can’t carry the box by himself, so she volunteers to carry it for Jun-yeong.
Moreover, Ji-hyung has been seeing both of them hanging out together a lot and wonders what is going on between them.
“You’re unbelievable. Rookie artists aren’t some tools you can dispose of.”
Seul-a has been working non-stop to revise the work before the deadline. Poor Seul-a has been sleep-deprived and has been filling herself up with caffeine.
Thanks to Ma-eum, she decided to give her a surprise visit but found her unconscious in her bedroom. Seul-a’s mother immediately takes her to the hospital, and Seul-a insists on going back to work, but the doctor has advised her to take complete bed rest.
Ma-eum goes back to the office and argues with Producer Kwon about overworking Seul-a.
Furthermore, producer Kwon proposes they replace Seul-a and Ma-eum suddenly explodes out of disbelief and tells him off for stealing her artist and trying to ruin Seul-a’s career.
Subsequently, Man-chul stops their argument and tells Producer Kwon to extend the deadline while Ji-hyung volunteers to talk to Ma-eum.
“Everyone calls him Rookie Artists Grave.”
Ji-hyung takes Ma-eum to talk over a drink and Jun-yeong joins them. Obviously, Ma-eum had crossed her boundaries while talking with Producer Kwon during the meeting.
He is her senior and Jun-yeong adds that he is also the best producer in the company. Given that he is infamous for his behavior, however, he brings the most revenue to the team.
Jun-yeong has actually studied and analyzed the team data. Moreover, Ji-hyung adds that Producer Kwon was once as passionate as Ma-eum.
It turns out that Producer Kwon changed after Gingertoon was forcefully closed and his wife divorced him. Before he was the most caring producer but after that, he stopped bringing emotions into work and only works to make money.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 6 Musings
Today’s Webtoon Episode 6 gives us an insight into Producer Kwon’s life before NEON Webtoon, which explains the rude, sarcastic, and nasty character.
However, he was never like that, to begin with. He is the one who never gave up on the webtoon team after getting hurt the most.
This week’s episode made us tear up from beginning to end. Starting from Ma-eum’s conversation with her father and a glance at Gingertoon’s backstory.
Moreover, assuming that Chief Heo is the antagonist of the drama, seems like Chief Heo is the reason for Gingertoon’s downfall and it looks like history is going to repeat itself for NEON Webtoon Team.
On the bright side, more Jun-yeong and Ma-eum moments, and Ji-hyung wondering about their closeness teases the viewers into a love triangle dilemma.
Lastly, it looks like Jun-yeong is slowly developing its feelings for Ma-eum however it’s too early to assume that but given his reaction when Ma-eum pulled her because of the motorcycle it is obvious that he felt something.
Today’s Webtoon has become more interesting with every episode which is worth anticipating. Wondering what will happen to the future of the NEON Webtoon Team is slowly unfolding now that Chief Heo is on the move which leaves the viewers curious if Jun-yeong will really betray the Webtoon Team by working with Chief Heo.
