Behind Your Touch Opening Week Story.

After her mother died, Bong Ye Bun (Han Ji Min) lives with her aunt Hyeon-ok and grandfather. The latter, a veterinarian, has always shown disinterest towards her.

She became besties with Ok-hui (Joo Min Kyung) and later opens a vet clinic when she assumes the responsibility of being the breadwinner in the family.

When a meteor shower happens in Mujin, she was asked to check out a pregnant cow and was hit mysteriously by one of the falling stars. Waking up three days later, she discovers she gains psychometric powers.

If she touches the butt of an animal, she can see its past. It becomes handy for her as a veterinarian as she can easily assess the cases of animals.

“With great powers come great hair loss.”

Meanwhile, Moon Jang-yeol (Lee Min Ki) moves to Mujin armed with his driven attitude to bust crimes prevalent in the neighborhood. Unfortunately for him, the town he got transferred to has little to no human crimes that have happened so far.

His first encounter with Ye-bun is when he caught her trying to grope a man at the time, she was checking theories about her newly discovered ability.

Desperate to unearth any kind of crime in Mujin, Jang-yeol eventually cracks a case when the peach farm owner is suspected to have killed the onions of an onion farm ajussi.

Ye-bun who tended to a cat and saw where the insecticide bottles were hidden inadvertently helped Jang-yeol thanks to her growing adoration to convenience store part-timer Kim Sun-woo (Suho).

At first, Yebun thinks her power is only for animals. But later she accidentally saw something from the man she met at her part-time stint. His past reveals abusing a woman. Keeping it to herself, she later confirms her power is also applicable to humans when she touches Ok-hui’s bum and confirms what she saw.

Bothered by the vision she saw about the abused woman; her fear comes to life as the same woman was eventually seen lifeless and dragged somewhere.


Behind Your Touch Opening Week Musings

All bright and lovely, Behind Your Touch also hints at some intriguing points to be featured in Mujin.

The uniqueness of the characters along with surges of comic situations will rope in viewers to watch how the story unfolds.

In terms of the supporting actors, there is a lot to explore as well. After seeing their “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” parody, we definitely root for Hyeon-ok and Jong-muk to rediscover romance.

Ok-hui and Sun-woo have also created distinctions in their characters in a way that we want to know more about them.

On this note, Grandpa Jung’s cold treatment of Ye-bun also draws curiosity as well as the cryptic reason surrounding Ye-bun’s mother’s death.

As the cow owner also develops the same power as Ye-bun and he also experienced side effects, the same case can be applied to Ye-bun.

Hopefully, she learns what will be her side effects soon.

A lot happened in the opening chapters of Behind Your Touch which can make the viewers grasp the direction of the story. Hooking viewers with charming characters, we can see how the collaboration of Ye-bun and Jang-yeol would materialize.

Also, we can anticipate more hilarious moments for Ye-bun nurturing her adorable crush on Sun-woo.
