Handing No Park to the prosecution, Chang-ho proves his innocence and elevates his status as a righteous lawyer. He then becomes the attorney of No Park, and releases him on bail. Meanwhile, Mi-ho discovers where the model inmates work.

Big Mouth Episode 12 Highlights
“Flowers may look beautiful from afar. But when you get close, they are growing on the edge of a cliff.”
Cleaning the scene where Hye-jin died, Mayor Choi texts Mi-ho using Hye-jin’s phone to move their meet-up the next day.
In the special ward, room leader No Park confirms he is ‘big mouse’, and reveals his reason for choosing Chang-ho. He tells Chang-ho that someone asked him to be saved.
Believing that Chang-ho is the only one who can go up against the upper class, No Park shares how he will create hell for them to avenge his daughter. Chang-ho attempts to pitch his offer to No Park, but he laughs at it. Receiving a call, No Park tells Chang-ho that Mi-ho is in danger.
Blocking the guards, Chairman Yang and his men protect Chang-ho. Meanwhile, Mi-ho secures the blood samples in the medical room. Yoon-gab leads Chang-ho and the room leader to a passageway to the medical room.
Inmate 1503, the psychopath, protects Mi-ho even though a bed railing is cuffed to him. However, he passes out after fighting with a guard. Entering at the right time, Chang-ho saves Mi-ho, and Yoon-gab shoots Warden Gan.
Doo-geun and Chae-bong tell Prosecutor Choi how powerful Chairman Kang is as he holds a lot of shares in major companies in Gucheon.
Joo-hee confronts Ji-hoon on how Woojeong daily reported her drug case as special news. Unhappy with how Ji-hoon is, Chairman Kang pressures Ji-hoon to show results, but Mayor Choi joins the conversation, pledging to catch ‘big mouse’.
Asking permission to take Professor Seo’s position in the audit committee, Chairman Kang grants Joo-hee commissioner role.
“You can use notoriety in various ways. It’s up to me to handle it.”
Surrounded by armed forces, No Park agrees to Chang-ho’s offer from their conversation in the special ward. Calling Ji-hoon who is angrily breaking art pieces, Chang-ho summons the assistance of Ji-hoon and Prosecutor Choi.
Arriving at the same time as Mayor Choi, the guards are instructed to let Chang-ho come out as he will be handing ‘big mouse’ to the prosecution.
Recalling the offer he made, Chang-ho asks ‘big mouse’ to be caught in his hands since No Park believes in him, who can fight the same class he is in.
Praising Chang-ho, Ji-hoon asks for the other part of their deal, so Mi-ho hands in blood samples to him. However, unknown to him the blood samples were fake, and the real blood samples of the model inmates are secured in Chang-ho’s new office.
Concluded as a mistrial, Chang-ho gets released and regains his status as a competent and righteous lawyer.
Although his status has risen, Chang-ho fearlessly signs as the lawyer of ‘big mouse’. In their contract, there is no retainer fee written, implying that Chang-ho is demanding a blank check. Instructing No Park for his release, Chang-ho asks him to admit his charges and then prepare a large amount for his bail.
Outside the room, Chang-ho confronts Mayor Choi for his betrayal, and tells him that what he did is worse than ‘big mouse’.
“Overdoing something always brings about a disaster.”
Holding a press conference, Chang-ho clarifies his stand as a lawyer of ‘big mouse’. He tells the press that he is set to expose the truth and that doing such is not illegal.
Giving Chairman Kang the blood samples, Ji-hoon becomes extremely delighted with the reward of the elder. The contract states the donation of the chairman’s shares in Woojeong daily to Ji-hoon.
However, Ji-hoon’s reward gets canceled as the news live broadcast show Chang-ho declaring his plans of revealing the truth of Professor Seo’s death while requesting continuous public interest.
Certain of what Hye-jin told Mi-ho, Chang-ho is confident to provoke Chairman Kang, the head of the atrocities.
After confronting Dr. Han for Hye-jin’s disappearance, Mi-ho proceeds to follow the model inmates.
Watching from afar, she then enters the place after hearing an explosion inside. She comes to save inmate 1503 who is close to falling into the sinkhole.
“You may act like you’re a patriot, but within that hypocrisy, you don’t care for the people at all.”
Instead of trying to attack Chang-ho, Ji-hoon comes to Chang-ho’s new office to scout him in their ‘family’. Moreover, Ji-hoon asks for his money back. However, Chang-ho scoffs at the deal and requests that Chairman Kang bring himself to propose the offer.
Mayor Choi reports to Chairman Kang about the sinkhole, and the chairman feels relieved to hear that nothing major happened. The elder then recalls how he got warned about the risks of rushing the patent on the NF9. Adding to that, he says how that person who warned him left the site and died after.
Aware that the story is his grandfather’s, Mayor Choi asks if the elder regretted it, but Chairman Kang tells that he had no regrets.
Seeing that justice is only for the winning side, Mayor Choi asks for ‘big mouse’ to be released, assuring the elder that he can handle it.
No Park gets released and comes back to the restaurant where he used to be a chef who loves making food for his daughter.
Chang-ho asks who requested him to be saved, and No Park tells him to come to meet them the next day in his restaurant.
Exiting the building, Chang-ho wonders how nobody found out who ‘big mouse’ is even when his symbol was out in public. A bomb then explodes from No Park’s restaurant.
Big Mouth Episode 12 Musings
For this episode, a lot of events happened and many details have been uncovered about ‘big mouse’ and the business of Chairman Kang. No Park seeks justice for his daughter, and his warm look when Mi-ho calls him just manifests how his daughter is dear to him.
With the mayor’s betrayal and Ji-hoon’s greed, no one can be trusted in this journey Chang-ho is traversing. However, what’s great after his release is that he now has the power to face them head-on.
His growth as a lawyer can be witnessed as he is no longer the lawyer called ‘big mouth’ from the first episodes. Even Gong Ji-hoon who disrespected him before now looks up to him, even though sarcastically.
It’s saddening how No Park, who just got released, encounters an explosion in his old restaurant. He was supposed to let Chang-ho meet the people who asked him to be saved, and possibly these people are from the orphanage.
Mayor Choi and Chang-ho share a somewhat similar pursuit in attacking Chairman Kang. However, Chang-ho remains purer than the mayor, and we shall look forward to the fulfillment of his promise to No Park.
