From Now On, Showtime! Episode 5 Key Moments
The Missing Fishermen
Starting the episode, the grandmother of Cha-Woong went to the sea where five fishermen died. She performs the ritual to get the souls of the deceased so that the families can be at ease.
However, she is in shock when there are only four souls she gathered. She believes that the other one survives but it’s neither alive nor dead. She’s anxious since she has a gut feeling that something big is happening.
Seul-hae saw this news and the picture of the five fishermen who went missing. She recognizes one fisherman who has something to do with his father’s death.
She talks to the people around the area about the man but they shove her off because the man she’s talking about is very kind and respectful.
Past Connection of Cha-Woong & Seul-hae
Meanwhile, when Cha-Woong goes with Seul-hae to her father’s cemetery, he recognizes her father immediately. When he was still a high school student, Seul-hae’s father is very close with his grandfather.
However, Seul-hae talks about the shaman (Cha-Woong’s grandfather) and that he is the reason behind her father’s death. Until now, she seeks an answer to give justice to her father. Cha-Woong is still in shock because she recognizes Seul-hae. After all, he saw her crying at her father’s funeral.
Hee-soo also confronts Cha-Woong because he knows that his grandfather has something to do with the case of Seul-hae’s father. That’s why he cannot give his full trust to Cha-Woong.
Official Partners
Amidst all the happenings in Seul-Hae’s life, she continues to do her duties as police. She asks Cha-Woong for help to find a dog and Cha-Woong claims that it’s already dead.
The dog keeps chasing Cha-Woong and leaves him no choice but to help Seul-hae again. Later on, they found out that the dog was killed intentionally because he sniffed drugs coming from a packet of coffee.
Seul-hae investigated and found out that Aris (a member of a popular girl group) is a suspect. She also found the secret place of the suspects and calls the police immediately. However, one member found her and tapes her mouth. That’s when her partner, Cha-Woong came to the rescue.
Hocus Pocus!
Since Aris is supposed to be Cha-Woong’s partner in a show. Seul-hae became the substitute to perform in the show. Wearing a cream dress and with the help of the ghosts, she dances gracefully while Cha-Woong is performing his magic.
The show seems to be magical with the two because the audience felt their chemistry and applauds while they are in awe of Cha-Woong’s magic tricks.
From Now On, Showtime! Episode 5 Musings
Coming to its fifth episode, the plot continues to give a thrill to its audience especially now that Seul-hae and Cha-Woong’s fates are tangled because of what happened in the past.
Even though Cha-Woong still hates to help others, his concern for his partner burns brighter in every case that they investigate. It’s also clear that he’s bothered about the death of Seul-hae’s father wherein his grandfather is involved.
On the other hand, the story of the missing fishermen also piques our curiosity about the creature behind their disappearances. It’s also creepy because the missing man is already in the city and saw Seul-Hae. It looks like she would need the help of Cha-Woong if ever something bad is going to happen.
