Ghost Doctor Episodes 9 & 10 Key Moments
“I couldn’t tell him any of the things I should’ve said when he was alive. Instead, I announced his death.”
Listening to the two ICU nurses discuss Dr. Jang continuing to work at the hospital after receiving a huge inheritance, Young Min worries about Se Jin straining herself tirelessly for him.
Reaching Young Min’s room, which is also her office, Dr. Jang reads the letter that Seung Tak composed on Chairman Jang’s behalf.
Reading the letter from her late father, Se Jin learns that her father cherished her as a daughter. He apologizes to her for not fully conveying his feelings to her and expresses his gratitude to her for remaining alongside him until his final moments.
Se Jin subsequently tells Young Min that she was unable to relay to her father any of the things she should have said while he was still living.
She was unable to convey to him that she no longer resented him, and she couldn’t tell her father that she loved him. Instead of that, she announced his death.
Regardless of the fact that she is unaware that Young Min is listening to her, Se Jin asks Young Min whether he would do the same thing as her father did.
“Frankly, these changes can’t be explained medically. However, it’s very rare but medical staff in the US called them happy hormones.”
Leaving the room, Young Min feels frustrated that he is powerless to console Se Jin. As soon as he sees Seung Tak walking towards him, he instantly resolves to possess his body.
Returning to the room, Young Min quickly checks on Se Jin, only to see that she is sleeping quietly on the couch. Young Min then observes the half-asleep Se Jin as she abruptly awakens and embraces him.
In the morning, ghost Young Min was woken by an astounded Se Jin, seeing his coma self’s brain activity. Young Min rushes over to Seung Tak, who is resting in the on-call room.
Learning the good news, Seung Tak runs to where Young Min’s body is currently located. Seung Tak inquires if the brain activity demonstrated to Professor Cha is true. Meanwhile, Se Jin is bewildered as to how he obtained the information. Seung Tak explains that he believes he acquired it in a dream.
Dr. Jang informs Seung Tak that the origin of brain activity cannot be explained medically. However, medical personnel in the United States refer to them as happy hormones.
To ascertain the source of the cheerful corny things, Seung Tak inquires of Young Min whether he used him to do anything that would make him happy, such as last night with Se Jin. But, Young Min makes it quite evident that he employed Seung Tak just to cover Se Jin with a blanket.
Afterwards, Seung Tak encourages Young Min to discover what makes him happy and corny. Seung Tak deduces from what transpired recently that made Young Min pleased that it is anytime they save a patient. That is why Seung Tak approaches Chief Ban to assist him with his upcoming surgery schedule.
“No. I’m still here. Inside your dear cousin’s body. Yea, you’re right. I’m Cha Young Min.”
Verifying whether Dr. An’s theory is correct, Han Seung Won wants to know if Seung Tak’s strange behaviour was caused by Cha Young Min possessing him. Consequently, he closely monitors Seung Tak’s every movement.
Seung Won even tests Seung Tak to determine whether he is truly himself and inquires if he recalls what they discussed following the surgery. However, Young Min had already prompted Seung Tak.
Meeting with Dr. An again, Seung Won is furious and refuses to hear another word about Professor Cha having Seung Tak’s body. He was ready to depart when he was stopped by Dr. An, who would demonstrate that his assumptions were correct since he was familiar with Professor Cha and the things he does and says in the operating room.
On the day that Seung Tak and Young Min secretly operate a patient, Seung Won witnesses his surgery with his plan to let Dr. An assist him.
Their strategy to confirm Professor Cha’s possession of Seung Tak works, but they are more fearful now because Young Min admits to Seung Won that he is Cha Young Min and is inside his dear cousin’s body.
“It’s not like I’m going to be a doctor for the rest of my life. Make some progress so we can wrap this up soon.”
After informing Seung Tak that he revealed to his cousin that he was Cha Young Min, Young Min attempts to appease Seung Tak by explaining that he sought to contain his temper but lost it for a split second.
Assuring Seung Tak that they will be crazy, Young Min enlightens him by explaining that he does not believe they will be caught easily and that he probably terrified Seung Won rather effectively.
Dropping the unexpected confession talk with Young Min, Seung Tak believed that the incident had already caused enough damage and that they should not dwell on it any longer.
Young Min thinks that Seung Won knows that he has seen ghosts since he was a child. He asks Seung Tak what happened to him when he was a child.
Then, Seung Tak shares with him that it has been occurring since he was involved in an accident. He also explains to Young Min why he abruptly abandoned his practical exam during his undergraduate years. It was because he was terrified by the ghost of the man’s body he was dissecting.
On the other hand, Young Min asks how Seung Tak would cope with continuing to be a doctor when he awakens. Seung Tak responds that he is not going to be a doctor for the rest of his life and wants Young Min to make immediate progress so that they may close their agreement quickly.
Seung Tak also convinces Young Min to recover in order for him to do surgery with his own hands. However, he will make every effort to remain in the hospital till then.
“Because I promised a girl. That I’d major in CS, and she major in Neurosurgery.”
Continuing to acquire the happy hormones, Seung Tak invites Dr. Jang to attend Jessica’s concert, knowing how much Young Min is a huge fan of hers. He believes that if she goes instead of Professor Cha, he would be really thrilled.
At the concert, Young Min is startled to see Se Jin also attending the event. Se Jin is the one who is supposed to be astonished since Seung Tak invited him. Young Min stutters as he attempts to offer an excuse, stating that he is attending the event since Jessica was his patient.
Following that, Young Min and Se Jin are quietly walking along the street on their way home when Young Min suddenly tells her that it was great to be outside. She says that CS is demanding and recalls how, as an intern, she felt as if she lived at the hospital.
Se Jin then wonders why Seung Tak picked his major. Correspondingly, he informs her that it was because he had made a commitment to someone that he would major in CS while she specialized in Neurosurgery.
“Is your authority more important than a child’s life?
Because Seung Won is enraged with Seung Tak and Young Min’s collaboration, he strongly warns the hospital’s chiefs not to allow his cousin to help them in future surgeries. And if they do, he will expose that they committed malpractice by allowing a first-year resident to lead the surgery, which will result in the loss of their licenses.
Following that, Seung Tak receives a call from Dr. Kim, who is tasked with locating Oh Seung Jo. They discovered Seung Jo with Su Jeong doing CPR on him. Surprisingly, Su Jeong summons Professor Cha to rescue the young patient quickly.
As they find help from the other chief to let Seung Tak assist in Seong Jo’s surgery, they refuse to help him since it is an order from the higher-ups. Seung Tak instantly pays a visit to his cousin and talks to him about withdrawing his command. However, Seung Won declines, and then Seung Tak questions him whether his authority is more essential than a patient’s life.
Returning the question to him, Seung Won inquires if he values the child’s life. Seung Won feels that their arrangement helps more than just Professor Cha; they are doing it to help Seung Tak as well.
Ghost Doctor Episodes 9 & 10 Musings
The most recent episodes of Ghost Doctor consistently present funny and dynamic interaction between the two doctors while also laying the groundwork for the series’ turning points.
Specifically, Ghost Doctor episode 9 astounds us with another discovery about the series’ crucial feature.
Seung Tak and Su Jeong’s bond appears to have begun with their grandfathers, the veteran ghost and Chairman Ko.
Apparently, the veteran ghost, who is Tes, was Oh Su Jeong’s grandfather. That is why, whenever Su Jeong receives a scolding from her senior, Tes is present to admonish her since Su Jeong’s intention to save a patient at the emergency room is selfless.
As with Professor Cha in episode 9, we want to console Dr. Jang as she struggles alone in the fallout of her father’s death and the regrets she carries.
We believe it is quite difficult not to convey our feelings to our loved ones who are no longer with us, and this is especially true in Dr. Jang’s situation, as she painfully announced her father’s death.
Furthermore, because she is receptive to supernatural phenomena, Su Jeong is aware of and confirms Professor Cha’s possession of Seung Tak’s body. Since Young Min refers to her as “Intern Oh” whereas Seung Tak refers to her as “Crystal,” and there are other distinctions between the two, she determined the truth.
Seung Tak’s Way of Helping Young Min Wake Up
In episode 10, we witnessed Seung Tak adorably perform the role of Cupid by compelling Young Min and Se Jin to attend Jessica’s concert without notifying them that they would be accompanying.
Finally, we are amazed by Seung Tak’s true yearning for Young Min to awaken from his coma, as he makes every attempt to obtain his happy hormones. He even considered assisting the other ghost patients who had previously been Professor Cha’s patients.
