Ko Seung Tak and Cha Young Min repeatedly quarrel after a successful performance in the 5th episode of Ghost Doctor.

Following the successful procedure, Seung Tak and Professor Cha check up on the patient with whom they operated. Meanwhile, the other doctors and professors were bewildered as they had witnessed a first-year resident leading the surgery.

Confused as to whether a resident could do such an operation, they recalled Professor Cha’s first solo surgery as an intern.

Ghost Doctor Episode 5 Key Moments

“The higher he goes, the harder he falls. Having more spectators means the damage will be more crucial.”

Retrieving his car from where it was parked illegally, Seung Tak approaches the ghost Young Min, who is seated with Se Jin on the rooftop.

Seung Tak subsequently directs his rants at Se Jin, despite the fact that those were intended for Young Min, on account of his being a nuisance.

While Seung Tak and Young Min were arguing, they both stopped when a medical news reporter approached Seung Tak.

Learning of the article about his surgery, the details of his remarkable and successful operation quickly spread throughout the hospital. Seung Tak then confronts Han Seung Won, inquiring as to why he perpetrated such an act.

Correspondingly, Seung Won informs him that the wonderful news should be shared with everyone. However, after Seung Tak departed his office, Young Min overheard his conversation while on a phone call that his purpose was to bring Seung Tak down for good.

“That’s not right. My clothes are innocent. Put it down when I ask nicely.”

Moving Seung Tak’s patient to the ward, since the patient was recuperating well, he was entrusted to Seung Tak to care for as he performed the operation.

Due to his lack of knowledge of post-op treatments, Seung Tak anxiously seeks Young Min’s assistance, but he declines.

Afterwards, Seung Tak proceeds to Young Min’s room, locating a suit in his luggage and holding it out the window in vengeance against Young Min.

Pleading to let go of his nicest coat, Seung Tak grants Young Min’s request, and he drops the blazer and falls from his room to the ground floor.

Continuing their argument, Seung Tak instantly stopped speaking as Se Jin entered the room.

“She has it tough enough looking after you. I don’t want to make her burden even heavier.”

Sneaking inside Professor Cha’s office, Se Jin searches in pursuit of Chairman Jang’s chart. After spotting Young Min’s tablet, she pauses for a moment to check the time on her wristwatch.

Visiting Chairman Jang in the VIP wards, the personal bodyguard blocks her, and she simply wishes to deliver the food she made for him.

When asked if they ensured that the chairman ate the crabs she cooked, the bodyguard simply confirms that he did. This corroborates Se Jin’s suspicions that the chairman is not truly awake.

On the other hand, Young Min pays a visit to the ghost chairman. Chairman Jang frantically worries about her daughter’s well-being, pleading with Young Min not to allow Se Jin to return to the VIP ward, as he witnessed her being distressed about Young Min’s health and checking in with her patients. He is averse to adding to her load of concerns.

Running to find where Seung Tak is, it is Young Min’s turn to ask for his help in preventing Se Jin from confronting Seung Won. Seung Tak refused to do so.

Ghost Doctor Episode 9 Musings

For a person who stops at nothing, we can give it to Se Jin for not dropping Chairman Jang and her ex-bf’s unsolved problems.

She confirmed the Chairman was not really awake as she inquired, utilizing the crab meal she made for the Chairman, even if she did not see with her own eyes. Apparently, it is because the chairman is allergic to shellfish.

Meanwhile, Young Min and Seung Tak’s constant bickering is surely endearing to watch as they fight childishly like cats and dogs.

We have to commend Seung Tak for exhibiting his compassionate side as a doctor in this chapter. Even though he lacks the necessary abilities, he deserves to be a doctor who saves lives, unlike Dr. An, who intentionally puts a patient at risk.

Notably, this raises the question of what motivated Seung Tak’s dread of doing practical operations, resulting in him becoming an inept surgeon due to his lack of abilities.

Finally, we learned in episode 5 that the dark spirit lingering around Young Min is actually the motorcycle rider that caused his car accident.
