After Principal Noh’s corruption was revealed, she remains vigilant continuing her unrighteous ways to gain power in the latest episode of Melancholia.
Meanwhile, Yoon-Soo comforted Seung-Yoo from all the noise and issues that they are facing right now.

Melancholia Episode 13 Key Moments
Principal Noh’s Secret
After Hye-Won exposed her sister’s corruption in front of the board of directors, Principal Noh became very angry. She continues her desperate ways to get out of her wrongdoings.
Meanwhile, Hye-Mi (Ye-Rin’s mother) continues with her speculations about his husband. Assemblyman Sung has always been close with the principal ever since.
Hye-Mi notices that his husband always talks with the principal. Together with her instinct, she confronts Principal Noh and she admits that they have a relationship.
Ye-Rin also caught his father and the principal talking and found out that her father is cheating. Ye-Rin is so angry and decides not to be used again by Principal Noh.
Seung-Yoo’s Solace
On the other hand, Seung-Yoo faces another issue because his confession that he loves Yoon-Soo went public.
Yoon-Soo comforts him and accepts his invitation to go out for a while. They drive to a rest house where Seung-Yoo sleeps comfortably, away from all the noise.
Meanwhile, Yoon-Soo also enjoys the fine weather and the quiet ambiance. They also bask on the first snow, feeling each other’s presence.
Later on, they go to a movie theater to watch a film. Seung-Yoo goes out for a while to accept a call. When he got back Yoo-Soo is nowhere to be found.
The Investigation
Ending the episode, Seung-Yoo is getting ready for the investigation about Principal Noh’s case. He talks to Myeong-Jin (an old teacher of Asung High School) to testify about the cheating case of Ye-Rin.
Myeong-Jin is the one who leaks the key answers to Ye-Rin and received bribery from Assemblyman Sung. Seung-Yoo hopes that Myeong-Jin would choose to be a better person this time.
The next morning, Principal Noh and Assemblyman Sung answer the questions of the police. In the other room, Seung-Yoo also testifies what he knows. He was shocked when he saw his old teacher, Myeong-Jin walking towards him to testify. What more shocking is that Yoon-Soo also appears as a witness.
Melancholia Episode 13 Musings
Coming to the turning point, this episode serves as a rising action of Melancholia because little by little, Seung-Yoo and Yoon-Soo are one step closer to getting back their dignity.
However, I know that we are all waiting for Yoon-Soo to confess her feelings to Seung-Yoo but I guess we need to wait for more. Maybe, as a mathematician, Yoon-Soo always sees the other side of the coin.
Hoping for them to be together is normal because they deserve to be happy after all that they went through. With a few more episodes left, let’s hope that Melancholia would give what the audience anticipates (*fingers crossed).
On the other hand, Principal Noh remains the same and I know that we want her to pay for her bad doings, along with the people who supported her. We should also wait for Ye-Rin’s character development because it’s evident that she can still have a redeeming moment.
With its last three episodes, let’s all root for Seung-Yoo and Yoon-Soo be victorious in getting their pride again. Moreover, I know that we all want them to be together so let’s expect that this drama would have a happy ending.
