As Royal Inspector Cho revealed his identity to his father, he asked for another chance to prove that he is not weak and that he can kill Se-poong. This threatens Commander Im, but he knows that possessing the stiletto needle will save him from death.
He then turns the table and threatens the Second State Councillor that he will send the evidence and reveal Tae-hak’s secret. Now that Commander Im is backed up by Tae-hak, he bravely continues his illegal business.
“Thank you for coming with me. However, you will not get involved in anything dangerous. Promise me.”
After witnessing and wasn’t able to do anything about Wol’s death, Physician Yoo convinces Physician Gye to personally report to the King in Hanyang. Lady Eun-woo, who is also experiencing guilt, volunteered to accompany and help Se-poong enter Hanyang.
To enter the city, the two disguised themselves as a married couple. Using the identity tag that the King gave to Se-poong, they successfully enter the palace without any suspicion.
As soon as they arrived, Se-poong reported about Wol’s passing to the King. However, the King still holds onto his last hope; the Court Lady, who dies with the same symptoms as the late King.
The King then ordered the two to perform an autopsy and identify the cause of her death. Using Se-poong’s stiletto needle, the Court Lady’s blood discolored the needle proving that she was poisoned with dansacho.
“Why do you not have wild jujube seeds or sweet flag? Has there been an increase in patients with mental disorders?”
While Se-poong and Eun-woo traveled to Hanyang, the Gyesoo Clinic opens its door to another patient with a mental disorder. The patient clearly shows that he’s suffering from hallucinations.
Since they run out of ingredients to make a medicine, Physician Gye went to buy ingredients. He then learned that these medicinal ingredients are also low in stock and began to wonder if many people suffer from mental illnesses.
His thoughts became clear when he saw a man that shows similar symptoms to his patient, who is begging to ask for opium, a narcotic drug. Physician Gye approached the bookseller and pretended to also buy the drug.
When he confirmed that it is an illegal drug, Physician Gye forced the merchant to reveal his manufacturer, who turns out to be Commander Im. He immediately raised this concern to Eun-woo’s father knowing that the Second State Councilor is now involved with Commander Im.
“This is important to you, is it not? This stiletto needle will clear your name regarding all you were framed for. I will give you this if you let me go once.”
However, Commander Im quickly got notified that Physician Gye already told Noble Seo about his illegal operation. Knowing that he is now under Tae-hak’s protection, he captured the Gyesoo family.
Upon Se-poong and Eun-woo’s arrival, an empty and messy clinic welcomes them. Nevertheless, Granny was able to hide from Commander Im’s men, and their patient was unharmed.
Lady Eun-woo notice that their patient is affiliated with Commander Im and asked them for help despite how mentally unwell he is. This doesn’t hinder Eun-woo from understanding their patient and figuring out where their family is being held captive.
Se-poong and Eun-woo then successfully found Commander Im’s opium manufactory and freed the Gyesoo family. At the same time, Noble Seo’s guard arrived when Commander Im was about to kill Se-poong.
Still, Commander Im tries to escape and made a deal with Se-poong with the stiletto needle, but an arrow silenced him before exposing Tae-hak.

Physician Yoo Se-poong continues to see silver linings in every hope that his enemies continue to steal away from him. He once again proves that being a doctor is not easy since a physician should be a source of strength to their patients.
Still, having emotional support is vital for everyone who is emotionally struggling. Also, this episode proved that people with mental disorders should not be discriminated against.
On the other hand, the series gave the spotlight to the issue of using illegal drugs since it can lead to mental disorders and a source of ruining one’s life.
Furthermore, Royal Inspector Cho’s return adds more questions and continues to create curiosity in his next moves. With what he showed in the previous episodes, I also continue to hope that the just will win.
As Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist is soon to conclude, viewers should witness how Physician Yoo reveals the truth despite losing evidence and hope one by one.
