Soundtrack #1 Episode 3 Key Moments

Eun-soo gets caught off-guard by the realization of who Jennifer really is. Trying to confirm it with leading questions Sun-woo averts the topic and they end up on a sour note.

Getting the confirmation from their mutual friends about her belated discovery of her best friend’s unrequited love for her, Eun-soo ponders on her situation.

Meanwhile, a career blessing is presented to Sun-woo who was invited to participate in an exhibit by a world-renowned artist.

“It was eight years ago. It may be longer than that. But it was eight years ago that I realized I had fallen in love with her.”

As always their small fights are easily resolved. Sun-woo surprises Eun-soo with flowers as a peace offering. He also obliges to answer her previous questions about when he started liking Jennifer and if he’s going to pursue her.

Responding he has confirmed his feelings eight years ago, he also affirms his plan to confess to her.

Weighing the escalating revelations, Eun-soo avoids possible scenarios that would lead to Sun-woo’s declaration of love. That is because she’s scared of hurting him since he means a lot to her. She also learns of a career-changing opportunity given to Sun-woo.

Another variable arises when PD Kang also conveyed his intention to pursue Eun-soo. Sun-woo who learned about it ends up choosing to pursue the work opportunity overseas.

“Just seeing Eun-soo smile is enough for me to fill my heart. When I put a scarf around her on a chilly day, I feel I’ve done my job. But that is what I just really need. I want her to feel comfortable around me.”

Eun-soo sends off Sun-woo when she learned that he has to leave earlier than expected. A flashback from when Sun-woo was set to enter the military was revealed showing Eun-soo crying over the thought of their separation.

Before Sun-woo lives he also meets with their couple friend and pours out how scared he is to make Eun-soo cry. He also hints at supporting her wholeheartedly in case she accepts a relationship that is not theirs.

Soundtrack #1 Episode 3 Musings

It seems timing has been a problem for these two friends who are secretly mutually in love in Soundtrack #1. Apart from that, they are also both persuaded that crossing the line might cause them to hurt one another. That being friends is a safer route.

Despite the valuable scenarios that hindered the romantic relationship to progress between them, hopefully, the final chapter of their love story would make them both braver.

This special series has quite a soothing cinematic appeal. The kind that we dearly missed from those classic Korean romantic films.

Sun-woo mustering his sincere emotions to indirectly confess his feelings confronts the possibility that his long-standing adoration might still not progress.

Episode 3 also bares how Eun-soo has also felt strong romantic emotions with Sun-woo at some point in her life.

But then, both of them opted to keep their feelings hidden, convincing themselves that friendship is enough.

Can they finally reconcile the mutual love they have been hesitating to put forward?

Don’t miss the final episode of Soundtrack #1  on April 13 on Disney Plus!
