Ji-hyung finally decides whether he’ll stay at NEON Webtoon or he’ll join Youngtoon as a chief editor in the 10th episode of Today’s Webtoon.
Ji-hyung got an offer as the chief editor of Youngtoon that made him confused. Meanwhile, Man-chul tells him to think about himself first. Moreover, Ma-eum feels sad to hear the rumor considering he was her first mentor.
Finally, at the team dinner gathering, where Mr. Kwon was surprisingly also there, Ji-hyung announces his decision on whether he’ll leave or stay.

Today’s Webtoon Episode 10 Highlights *Spoiler Alert*
“Shall we talk casually too?”
Ma-eum initiates a heart-to-heart talk with her dad, and she gives a gift to her father. However, he abruptly stood up and said that he hadn’t given up on his dream yet.
Walking away without accepting his daughter’s gift, Jun-yeong witnesses all of it and immediately shows up in the bar with Ma-eum drinking by herself.
Jun-yeong takes a seat next to Ma-eum, assuming she’s alone. A few minutes later, Ma-eum’s judo friend Eun-yeong shows up.
Furthermore, Jun-yeong makes a new friend with Ma-eum’s friend Eun-yeong. She first believed that Jun-yeong was Ma-eum’s boyfriend and later thought that he was her junior at work because of their formal way of speaking.
Finally dropping the honorifics thanks to Eun-yeong, Jun-yeong and Ma-eum began talking casually, which looked adorably awkward at first.
“Ji-hyung, if I change my mind and beg you to stay, you must only think about yourself to the end. Put yourself in the highest priority, that’s the only advice I can give you as your old friend and colleague.”
Over drinks at their usual place, Pojangmacha, Ji-hyung comes clean to Man-chul about Youngtoon’s offer and that he wants the word to come from him and not from anybody.
However, Ji-hyung was surprised when Man-chul congratulated him. However, no matter how enthusiastic he is, it is obvious that he’ll miss Ji-hyung if he leaves.
In the end, Man-chul encourages Ji-hyung to prioritize himself and accept the offer, leaving Ji-hyung even more confused than before.
Giving an adorable and heart-warming flashback to Gingertoon’s early days, it obviously shows how deeply rooted their friendship is, making Ji-hyung torn between the rare offer and the friendship they have.
“Mr. Oh, you see, making someone laugh. It’s the hardest thing to do.”
Artist Oh Yoon is struggling with his new webtoon and producer Choi finally decides to bravely confront him about it.
Artist Oh’s forte genre is comedy. However, he wants to try a different genre this time to prove to the people that he can do better than just writing silly jokes.
Producer Choi convinces him that his joke makes people happy and he doesn’t have to prove to anyone that he is good and that his sense of humor is unique.
He also added that making someone laugh is the hardest thing to do, making artist Oh burst into tears and immediately hug producer Choi.
Artist Oh, it turns out, needed to hear this and decides to end his webtoon The Beginning of Men and begin a new one.
Giving us a quick flashback, producer Choi and artist Oh have worked together since his debut, and he can rely on him alone.
“Well, just because everyone wants it, it doesn’t mean I have to want it too. So, I’m really trying to listen to my heart. To figure out what I really want and what I should choose. To make sure I won’t regret my decision later on.”
Everyone already knows about Ji-hyung getting an offer from Youngtoon and Ma-eum’s sadness after hearing the news.
However, Ji-hyung has been thinking a lot about the offer, and he has been thinking about his old days and the small beginnings of Gingertoon.
After the news spreads out, he gets calls from many artists, and he realizes that a lot of things will happen to NEON Webtoon if he leaves.
Luckily, he reads the email that Ma-eum had sent him, which says that a webtoon editor is like a gardener. They are like gardeners who plant the seeds and water the plants. They care for their webtoon artists just like gardeners take care of their plants.
At the end of the day, they take responsibility for the garden in order for the flowers to bloom.
Ji-hyung’s heartstrings were tugged by Ma-eum’s words, which heavily influenced his decision. He then visits Youngtoon’s office to give his final decision.
“I want to stay so I can take responsibility for the new projects I’ve started and the people I’ve met. I planted all these trees and flower seeds in the garden called NEON. I want to see them grow well and produce good fruits.”
Man-chul arranged a supposed farewell party for Ji-hyung. However, Ji-hyung announces that he has declined the offer and is going to stay at NEON Webtoon.
He also wants to work further with his artists and also found something concerning for the team.
Jang Hye-mi, who is disappointed with his decision, told him that NEON has been planning to dissolve the Webtoon team and plans to acquire Youngtoon.
Moreover, before coming to the party, Jun-yeong met with his bothersome uncle, who saw him with Man-chul. He then tells Jun-yeong that Man-chul was the reason behind his sister, Ae-ri’s, death.
Later on, Ji-hyung steps outside to take a call, and Jun-yeong follows after him. He then showed a photo of Ae-ri with him and asked if he knew her. Ji-hyung’s eyes widened and he was shocked, asking back Jun-yeong how he knew her.
From Jun-yeong’s perspective, Ji-hyung’s reaction was a confirmation that he knows his sister. Jun-yeong’s hands curl into a fist and from afar, Ma-eum witnessed that confrontation.
Today’s Webtoon Episode 10 Musings
The 10th episode of Today’s Webtoon highlights that meaningful relationships cannot be traded for money or a higher position, and just as we expected, staying true to his values, Ji-hyung is not the kind of person who will be swayed by money or any higher position or status.
This episode also conveys what it’s like to value a long-time and deeply rooted friendship, sticking by each other’s side through thick and thin, and choosing what makes you happy.
Ji-hyung’s decision to follow his heart was an admirable one. It was a brave choice to stay with the NEON Webtoon team considering their uncertain future.
Furthermore, the recent revelation has left us on a cliffhanger. It looks like when it comes to Ae-ri, Jun-yeong is very sensitive.
Jun-yeong is already under fire because of Chief Heo and the revelation about her sister’s death is linked to Man-chul. Hopefully, this isn’t the button that will push Jun-yeong to betray the webtoon team.
We are already moving to the peak of the series and the tension is already building up.
Adding to the tension, it looks like there’s something wrong with Pomme’s assistant. Hinting that maybe he is Pomme’s stalker, her cat hissed at him, and his rude behavior did not miss Ma-eum’s keen observation.
