Extraordinary Achievements

Entering the global chart, it has currently made an outstanding accomplishment going straight to the top since its first broadcast on June 29.

This is the first time a Korean drama which is not a Netflix original, clinching the major spot. K-dramas of Netflix such as Squid Game, All of Us Are Dead, Juvenile Justice, Hellbound, The Silent Sea, and Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area were also on the global top 10 official count.

Notably, the series gained much interest and great response from Asian countries. In fact, according to the out-of-town ranking site, FlixPatrol, the drama ranked first in Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Well-received by Asian viewers, the famous drama will also be in 31 languages showing on the same day in Europe and South America. The question now is whether it will become a global hit.

Because of the on-going success of the drama, ENA also first had its highest ratings in their company’s history, with a record of 5.2 from the four episodes.

Shin Jae Hyeong, who is in charge of organizing ENA channels, then expressed his utmost gratitude.

“It has created the highest viewership rating since the launch of skyTV.” Despite this, the reaction of viewers seems to be freshly accepting the brand. It is receiving a lot of attention from advertisers.”
