Despite his efforts to hide it, Jae-heon gets recognized by Hyo-jin in Curtain Call.
Jae-heon insists on rejecting his inheritance, but Yoon-hee suggests reacting otherwise to ease suspicions. While he continues at his job, Hyo-jin reveals his identity to Se-yeon and Moon-seong rides a boat to South Korea.

Curtain Call Episode 7 Highlights
“It’d be a scam if I asked you to invest, knowing you’d be at a loss.”
Hyo-jin approaches Jae-heon at his calligraphy event, and asks him to have a catch up. Unable to refuse the offer, he walks with her while avoiding a long conversation with a coworker from the planning department.
He excuses himself from Hyo-jin after rejecting her offer to invest in his production, which he only made up to explain his part-time work. Se-yeon finds his post empty, and Jae-heon comes back to his act as Moon-seong, lying that he went to the comfort room.
Opening up to Jae-heon, Se-gyu admits that he hated him at first, but later requests for him to stay by Se-yeon’s side when their grandmother passes away. Though he remains humble about his inheritance, Se-yeon and Se-gyu assure Jae-heon that he is deserving of it.
“These small moments of merriment, they are now making me want to endure a little longer.”
Curious after the information he collected was abandoned, private investigator Mr. Jang asks Moon-seong who he is. Moon-seong then shows a picture, revealing that his grandmother is Chairwoman Ja.
Explaining what happened, Mr. Jang tells him that an actor was hired to replace him.
Gifting Yoon-hee the hairpin from her late husband, Chairwoman Ja shares how she met the grandfather of the three siblings in Nakwon inn.
Feeling guilty seeing that the chairwoman is about to die, Yoon-hee tells Jae-heon about it. However, Jae-heon persuades her on sticking to the end so that the chairwoman could die with good memories.
Seeing her mom’s files for the M&A of Nakwon, Yoon-hee learns that Se-jun still has his doubts on them. Yoon-hee then suggests to Jae-heon to just accept the inheritance and return it after.
“We can’t change our past, even if we tried. But we can always change the future.”
Accepting gifts and a membership at a golf club from Dong-jae in exchange for information about Nakwon, Mr. Kim gets fired by Se-jun despite his long service.
Mr. Jang hands in a bag of money to Moon-seong’s boss. Moon-seong receives his passport, but they fight a group of men before leaving the place.
Receiving a good response to the calligraphy promotion event, Se-yeon offers Jae-heon to join the planning department. However, he still refuses the position and chooses to do laundry services.
Assuring Chairwoman Ja, Se-yeon tells her grandmother that she values the hotel first even before her passion for painting. Meanwhile, Se-gyu worries about his future without his grandmother. Dong-jae drinks with both siblings individually, and Se-yeon tells him that nothing would change even if their past were better.
Securing his pay, Mr. Jang tells Moon-seong he could repay him once they’re back in South Korea. On the other hand, Hyo-jin clarifies to Se-yeon that her said cousin is not from North Korea, and is instead a theater actor.
Curtain Call Episode 7 Musings
Yoon-hee’s suggestion sounds reasonable to lose the suspicions on Jae-heon. However, the mere act of accepting the inheritance named for another person is far riskier.
Though he shows sincerity in his act as Ri Moon-seong, Jae-heon could still face more legal issues once he opts to receive the inheritance in place of the real heir.
Just with a casual conversation with a friend, Se-yeon learns about the whole act Jae-heon and Yoon-hee have been running. Such was bound to happen given that they live in one country with overlapping mutuals in their circles despite class differences.
With the nearing revelation of Jae-heon and Yoon-hee’s act, the peace and jolly atmosphere that filled Chairwoman Ja could be shattered.
Moreover, it also appears to be the time that the real Ri Moon-seong shows himself in South Korea. Building up tension, we shall see how Jae-heon will handle Moon-seong’s appearance in next week’s episodes.
