Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 5 Key Moments

“This is Kang Sun-ju’s cellphone. You got the wrong number.”

Finding Tae-in outside, Yun-ju chides him for going through her mobile phone when he questioned who In Yun-ju is. Quick to dispel Tae-in’s suspicion, Yun-ju relays how she has been telling that person he got the wrong person, but he keeps calling and sending messages.

Thanks to Woo-yeon’s phone call, she escapes the sticky situation. However, she gets to another panel inquisition with CEO Moon and LUNA members. Defending Yun-ju as it is also partially his fault, the CEO finally let go of the in-house doctor’s carelessness that could have troubled his prized idol.

En route back home, Ga-on receives a message which agitated him. Falling asleep on her shoulder, Shin stops Yun-ju from waking Woo-yeon up. He tells her how he was the most worried last night, thus, he didn’t get any sleep.

A Musician’s Muse

Debating Yun-ju as his new source of music inspiration, Tae-in decides to confirm it. Proactively, he goes to her room to inquire about their treatment schedule. His uncharacteristic attitude makes Yun-ju thinks that he is leery of her after learning about the suspicious calls and messages from her phone.

When he goes overly interested in her treatment plan, she had to make an excuse to delve into more research. CEO Moon also presses her with results and not promises since it has been a month but no improvement appears to reflect.

Meanwhile, Shin is not at the happiest state with his recent conversation with Ji-yeon asking him for them to take a break. He is bothered by how bleaker their relationship can get.

Assuming Tae-in’s condition, Yun-ju again meets the psychiatrist for consultation. But the advice she got of going outdoors to break the monotonous life of making music would definitely not be agreed on by Tae-in.

Unaware that her friend Ba-reun has been following her, they end up reuniting as the latter learns of her situation. She urges her to continue her lie since she has a debt to settle.

Thankfully, smart Ba-reun made her remember how she’s good at making people relieve stress so she has a great chance of curing Tae-in’s sleep disorder by doing what she’s best at.

“Only the door separates us anyway, so let’s leave it open.”

Wondering why her patient actively asked about their treatment session, Yun-ju preps up her camper needs outside Tae-in’s room. She notices his door is not fully closed, so she tries to close it properly not knowing that he intentionally had it set like that. The result is a tug-of-war between them which eventually caused her accidentally get pulled into his embrace.

Suggesting to make their setup easier, Tae-in proposes to leave the door open. While she surmises his intention to be monitoring her, he proceeds on testing the growing theory of Yun-ju turning to be his muse.

The morning after, Tae-in slept fine without a sleepwalking episode. Woo-yeon prepares American breakfast for Yun-ju when she’s already eyeing the Korean stew he cooked.

Ga-on proceeds to have his stiff fingers checked and the doctor diagnosed he could be under stress since his fingers are physically fine. When Yun-ju notices something wrong with Ga-on’s hands while he practices, she checks on him with genuine concern. She also gives him sound advice on the anxiety he has been going through since meeting again a person who seems to have a past connection with him.

“What is our treatment plan today?”

Avoiding her patient, Yun-ju, unfortunately, can’t dodge Tae-in’s strange treatment craving. After entering her room, he demands their activity so she let him choose what he wants. They found themselves inside a car heading to a place Tae-in hasn’t been with to experience something new.

Wanting to go to a desert, Yun-ju relents and brings him to a beach and volunteers to be his tour guide. She finds herself sharing her story with Tae-in using Sun-ju’s perspective. He responds how mean she is for treating her younger sister who can’t move on with her ties since she does not know what might have happened to her sister after she got adopted.

She smiles and agrees with Tae-in who didn’t know he gave comfort to her weary heart right there and then.

The view, the sound, the feel and the girl beside her put Tae-in on a music inspiration trance. Unfortunately, the seaside trip caused Yun-ju to feel under the weather. As always, reliable Woo-yeon takes care of Yun-ju who refuses to go to the hospital.

Surprised to see Woo-yeon coming out of Yun-ju’s room, Tae-in rushes to go inside. Woo-yeon bravely blames him for causing her sickness. He lists down all the physically toiling activities Yun-ju has been enduring for the treatment.

“Why are you coming out of that room?”

Relenting to Woo-yeon’s request to give Yun-ju a break, Tae-in looks back on all her efforts and his ungrateful attitude. While Woo-yeon knows what a sick person needs, Tae-in lacks adorably.

Upon seeing her eccentric patient enter her room, she apologized right away. But she gets perplexed when he hauled a suitcase of recovery items he used thinking it would work on her as well.

Beaming at his intentions, Yun-ju expressed being thankful for his worry. Honestly revealing she does not need a heated mat, dreamcatcher, light stick, and Chopin; she stopped him when he was about to leave and accepts his effort happily.

Their sweet bickering gets interrupted with Yoo-chan’s plead to stop Ga-on who declared wanting to leave LUNA as a band member right away.

Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 5 Musings

Luckily for Yoo-chan, his life pressure level in this episode is not as high as his fellow members. But we know he’s bound to confront his as well in the future. In this episode though, other LUNA members openly struggle with life and love.

Ga-on’s situation hints at a familiar situation for Hallyu fans, especially in recent years. That is how popular or rising idols suffer unfair public scrutiny because of personal actions from the past. Snippets of Ga-on’s fear have been flashing in the past episodes. Hopefully, we will get a clearer picture next week.

Similarly, hidden relationships in K-Showbizness put a lot of concerns for celebrities who do not have the luxury to date openly. Shin’s situation is a perfect example. Let’s hope he bears it reasonably. If he’s the only one fighting hard for it, then it’s better for him to let her go.

Romance is sweetly progressing for Yun-ju. She’s proving that a lackluster career equates to blooming love life. *wink

Tae-in marking her as his muse makes the love triangle livelier worth anticipating in the subsequent chapters. Especially since Woo-yeon is really making quite an effort giving viewers the second lead syndrome.

The meaningful beach chat between Tae-in and Yun-ju hopefully comes in handy when the truth about her lies comes to light. We saw a side of Tae-in that is forgiving and understanding. So, it would be nice if he will go through five stages of love betrayal grief fast once her lies are out.

How will LUNA support each other in light of Ga-on’s problem?
