Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 6 Key Moments

“I can apologize to their fans, but not to No Sang-hoon.”

Carefully getting the picture of his artist’s woes, CEO Moon honestly declared Ga-on needs to apologize to his former classmate and the fans of his group. Firm with his decision that Sang-hoon is not worth apologizing, Ga-on proposes to leave the band so LUNA won’t get implicated.

When he gets back to the dorm, he packs his clothes and tells the members that he’ll leave the band for good. Giving a lousy excuse that he really does not mean, Tae-in lets him go and orders the other members not to stop him if that’s what he wants.

Yun-ju also makes a move to talk to Ga-on, but he doesn’t want to open up. Instead, he requested her to take care of Marimo and to cure his favorite hyung. Back at the dorm, the members try to connect what might have happened, but Tae-in is quick to give up on him.

Hearing his words, Yun-ju who just stepped back in chides him for being selfish like he is not a part of a group. But Tae-in argues how Ga-on has an option to fix the issue and he can’t force him if he does not want it.

After surmising what could have led to Ga-on’s action, Yun-ju goes to Tae-in, but he denies hearing her thoughts as Ga-on’s spokesperson. Before leaving, she takes advantage of the situation castigating him of his intention to be in a band when he clearly wants to operate alone.

At the practice, the band feels the void left without Ga-on’s music. Their manager arrives and tells them that he will go to his house and the members offer to join him. Halting them with their plan, Tae-in asserts not bringing him back.

“Making others stay, I don’t know how to do it.”

Tagging along with Woo-yeon who disregarded their leader’s warning of talking to Ga-on, Yun-ju confessed about her last chat with Ga-on. She thinks it could have made an impact on Ga-on’s current predicament. The two visit the Judo place where Ga-on trains, but the judo master denies knowledge of where he is.

But Woo-yeon spots his bandmate’s shoes and knows that he’s there. He also asks Yun-ju for them to let him be alone as he might need time to figure out things alone. That’s what Woo-yeon also tells Shin and Yoo-chan who both want to see him. Hoping for Tae-in’s change of heart, Yun-ju goes to his room and stumbles on his half-naked body. She reports that they find where Ga-on is safely staying.

At the Judo dojo, tears well on Ga-on’s eyes while watching their previous concert video. Pretending not to care, Tae-in analyzes in secret Ga-on’s situation based on his observations of his past actions.

His reverie gets interrupted by a Yun-ju’s back hug who mumbles an apology for dozing off thinking he has been sleepwalking. Her sharp eyes also notice Tae-in is not as cold-hearted as he seems to be about Ga-on. She coaxes her to visit Ga-on if he’s worried and tips him that he’s at the dojo. But Tae-in honestly confessed not knowing how to make someone stay.

Yun-ju advises him that he only needs to tell it directly and casually. She adds how Tae-in is so mindful of keeping a strong front that’s why it’s hard for him to express what he truly feels. Telling him how his being strong is also what Ga-on admired about him the most, she reveals the request she got from Ga-on when he left.

“What he said doesn’t matter. It’s your version I wish to hear.”

The next day, Tae-in marches to Blue Moon’s practice to talk with Noh Sang-hoon. Inquiring what happened to them in high school, Sang-hoon responds how he was hurt by Ga-on before. But he has since moved on and respects LUNA as a band. However, that’s not the case for Ga-on. He even presents a video of how Ga-on hurt him in the past.

From there, Tae-in goes to the dojo to speak with Ga-on to hear his version of the story. It turns out that he used to be friends with Sang-hoon but when he was picked by the agency that turned down Sang-hoon, the latter started bullying him. He even goes as far as demeaning Ga-on’s mom’s job as a cleaner which forced Ga-on to punch him.

However, in the video Sang-hoon has, the full scene was edited without his disparaging remarks and the part that he stepped hard on Ga-on’s hand. Meeting him again at a time when he’s happy doing music shakes his inner peace. Genuinely confessing that the trauma of seeing him when they perform makes his hand act up, it made him decide to leave LUNA because he will only affect their performance.

Reproaching Ga-on for not being confident of his skills, Tae-in assures him that he was picked for his music rhythm talent. While crying, Ga-on confesses how the call he received from Tae-in that he is LUNA’s newest band member was the happiest day of his life.

Convincing him to return to the band, Tae-in awkwardly taps his back as he weeps.

“Winning against yourself takes true strength.”

Huddling to help resolve Ga-on’s concern, Yun-ju suggested for him to face his problem head-on. Looking at the group’s encouraging faces, Ga-on agrees.

Garbed in stylish clothes and pairs of dark shades, LUNA and Yun-ju head to Ga-on’s old school. But Ga-on stops the group by coming with him since he wants to end his problem for once on his own. Sang-hoon arrives behaving in his natural rude manner. Ga-on gives him a chance to apologize for what he did. Refusing to do it, Sang-hoon brags he has video proof and medical records against him.

Unknown to Sang-hoon, Tae-in was able to get the full video from the two’s classmate who has been using it to blackmail Sang-hoon.

Finally able to overcome his fear, the truth about Sang-hoon’s bullying also went viral. To celebrate Ga-on’s return and Yun-ju’s belated welcome party, they also had a barbecue party. Of course, except for Tae-in, all the rest happily join the festive mood.

“Do you think only singers can sing on the stage? Wherever you sing becomes your stage.”

Inspired by Yun-ju’s words about how a place can become a stage when singers make it one, the members agree to do a home concert for their fans. The leader agrees and declares a round of Spartan practice to prepare well for the concert.

Just like any other drinking session, after a few bottles, the drinking habits of the members kick in. That includes the dramatic skit of Ga-on and Yoochan which other three members had seen quite a few times. Challenged by Yun-ju, Wooyeon and Tae-in also engage in a drinking battle.

While piling up alcohol bottles, Shin goes to where Ji-yeon lives. She lets him in her place but draws the line right away and asks him to leave after five minutes. Holding back her emotions, Ji-yeon listens to Shin mumble how he missed her and how he felt good seeing her.

Unable to restrain the same feelings, Ji-yeon gives in when Shin pulls her into his embrace and passionate kisses.

Back at LUNA’s house, Woo-yeon wins the battle and asks Yun-ju to praise him. She pets his hair making him smile. Noticing she’s a bit cold, he excuses himself so he can get a blanket for her. Just then, red-faced Tae-in wakes up and demands Yun-ju to praise him as well.

Obliging to his request, she also pets his hair. But she gets surprised when he leans on her and mumbles to let him be for a minute. When one minute was up, she tries to get up, but he grabs his arm and tells her to stay with him.

Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 6 Musings

Finally getting the full picture of Ga-on’s woes, also pushed an uncharacteristic action from Tae-in. We see a harmonious LUNA this episode and we couldn’t be any happier.

Highlighting how the past action of an idol might haunt back especially when at peak of success is something that has caused a few debates about the “cancel culture” prevalent in the K-showbiz world. Especially when self-righteous people condemn the action like they know the whole story.

From global fans’ perspective, we have observed how Korean artists endure keeping pristine image because of their status. Any wrongdoing, even if not yet proven, can inevitably destroy a career that was built through years of blood, sweat and tears.

With Ga-on’s story, the issue of bullying was presented. It leaves a lingering message on “fixing the issue” and not “giving up on it” is an effective way of tackling this concern.

Little by little, the feature stories on each LUNA member are being unfurled. Something worth noting because while presenting them, the romance trajectory between Yun-ju and Tae-in is developing along with the love triangle with Woo-yeon.

We definitely want Shin and Ji-yeon to bask in the romance that makes them happy. So, we look forward to how they can commit to what their hearts both yearn. Most likely, Yoo-chan’s personal issue is in the pipeline to be spotlighted in the subsequent chapter.

Next week’s preview shows Yun-ju being the apple of the eye of two cute boys. Aside from that, LUNA is on for a home concert which we can really look forward to since their music is worth asking for more.

Don’t miss the music, the romance and the bromance in Let Me Be You Knight on iQiyi!
